We have two R/H B2Bs though and San Antonio and OKC get us on our home court in January after we've had to play a road game and travel to Minneapolis the day before.

Sounds less than ideal. Do you know the average amount of B2Bs?

Do NBA teams play back to back games?
AI Overview
Yes, NBA teams play back-to-back games, meaning they play two games on consecutive days. While the league aims to minimize these, they are a necessary part of the 82-game schedule. This season, the average team will play around 14-15 back-to-backs.

Nice were 1.5 less than average.

This website says the average is 14.4 per team, down from 14.9 per team last year, however when I add up the total B2B on a team by team basis that they come up with, I get 450 B2B games and 450/30 teams is 15 per team by my math.

It is nice to see that the Wolves are one of 5 teams with only 13 BTB games - lowest in the league.

Thanks for doing the work. I wonder why the discrepancy.

Some wild travel for the team to start October.

The first preseason game is Oct 4 in San Diego against Denver. From there, sandwiched between two home games at Target Center is a trip to play the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. After the last home preseason game against a Chinese team, they have a preseason road back-to-back in Chicago and Philadelphia to end the preseason.

Five days later, the regular season begins in Portland. In the first 15 games, the team goes from West Coast (Portland, Los Angeles) to home for three games (Indiana, Denver, Lakers) to East Coast (Charlotte, Brooklyn, New York) to one game at home (Utah) to West Coast for two (Sacramento, Utah) to home for four games (Sacramento, Denver, Dallas, Washington).

Thanks for the info. It's a good thing we have less B2B than many others teams considering we got old players, Mike, Rudy not getting younger...

I support anything that means less Kevin Lynch.

I think he might be completely gone this year!

I am pretending that is not true until it is 100% confirmed to avoid feeling any sense of disappointment.

Understood. I am basing my belief on this from the FDSN release:

He will split analyst duties with five-time WNBA champion and current Minnesota Lynx assistant coach Rebekkah Brunson.
