Can't decide between just taking in the Denver broadcast or supplementing with Horton's call....keep going back and forth, but both are cued up and ready to go.

I'm trying to come up with a good reasoning, but coming up blank.

My only thought is that it gives other players an opportunity to play within the standard defensive scheme, assuming that it isn't just Rudy Gobert demanding to play.

Good start, Naz and Jaden look pretty good.

The idea I just thought of was for Rob assimilation on both ends.

I think it's just to match up with Jokic and see where they're at defensive scheme wise

First impression so far: Naz's 3pt shoot release looks a lot better. Gobert looks more agile around the basket. Dilly look the same, still jumps forward on 3pt shot

Rudy with 3 non dunk baskets that all showed a bit of skill.

HOT TAKE: Bones Hyland will play more than Rob Dillingham this season

Loved how they still dominated Denver's starting lineup in the first quarter without Ant playing and pretty much our starting lineup being out (I expect at least Randle to be starting, Conley could too but the ceremonial starter where he starts and sits after a few mins and DDV comes in).

Denver looks really deep though with their bench this season. Unlike like last season they were really paper thin. They did great in converting MPJ's contract into more depth for their roster (Valanciunas, Cam Johnson, Bruce Brown, THJ).

Jaylen Clark and Joan Beringer feels like a potential cheat code on defense

If the defender is moving at all it's a blocking foul or is that wrong. He was sort of set, but sliding his feet.

Joan Beringer is gambling WAY too much defensively to start here.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
