Mchale should improve the security around his house. He officially passed Rob Babcock as the worst ever.

Noooo!!! Limaaaaaa!!!

j/k, I actually like this trade. Miller is a good veteran, he's only 28 and I like Love.

Love/Richard/Pekovic
Big Al/Cookie/Cardinal
Miller/Gomes
Brewer/McCants
Foye/Bassy

That looks like pretty balanced line-up on paper.

Not that bad. Mike Miller is a good player. Love will be good. Anybody know the contract situation?

Well, that's it for me. I'm now completely done with Timberwolves' basketball.

I know it's rough guys, I know how much the majority wanted Mayo but lets try and keep this thread semi-clean, I don't want to hand out warnings :(

Devilzsidewalk is happy though.

Collins is expiring. Miller and Cardinal have 2 years left. Seems like this trade is about even salary wise, give or take a couple million, but adds more in the 2009 offseason. Guess they don't intend to make a splash until 2010.

Ouch, that is horrible. The Wolves need talented young potential superstars like Mayo. Vets like Miller do absolutely nothing for the team. What in the world are you up to Kevin?

WTF is this, I'm not a Minny fan but it must suck to have traded a potential superstar..

Seriously, is this forum populated by a bunch of 12 year olds? Calm down. Yes, this trade does nothing to improve the confidence of the fans in the team, but frankly, that's not really how teams are run. We have a glut in the backcourt, and while at first look I'm not psyched about losing a possible superstar in OJ Mayo, I'd like to hear all sides of this trade before I begin acting like I've yet to grow pubes.

Additionally, all of this posturing about 'never watching the T-Wolves again' from people with over 1000 posts in a online basketball forum dedicated to the T-Wolves are full of it.

It doesn't say anything on NBA.com or StarTrib, it's saying we're keeping Mayo, I don't get this

I'm sorry guys, I really am. I feel very sorry for you. The one time McHale gets a serious star, he messes it up for what? Another power forward?

They couldn't have gotten something like Bayless/Murphy for Love?

Seriously, this does nothing for the T-Wolves.

Mayo > Love. You do not pair Love in the frontcourt with Jefferson. That's a defensive nightmare for the Wolves.

Miller, Cardinal, Collins and whatnot do not matter because they aren't going to be around when/if the Wolves start winning.

I just don't get this at all. I'm not a Wolves fan, but I really wanted to see OJ in a wolves jersey. OJ+Jefferson would of been deadly. Oh McHale...you f*ck up.

I will still watch the team, but I will not go to a game.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
