Re: 2022 Free Agency
As of now...
PG- DLo, Bev, JMac
SG- Ant, Beas, Nowell
SF- McDaniels,, Bolmaro, Moore
PF- ?????, Vando, Minott
C-. Kat, Kessler, Reid
Unless the plan is to actually play Kat a bunch at PF it is a definite need. I don't agree with the Moore playing the three, but logjam at 2 and 1 kind of dictates it.
Need is definitely a 3&D 4 for when Kat shifts to the 5. Wonder if they try having Naz drop 10-15lbs and try it?

My favourite name is Mo Bamba..

If D'Lo is as good as gone and we need a capable PG, I hope Ricky signs with us. We need vets like him to ease young players in

I agree with you but we must also calculate that Ricky suffered a bad injury...

Re: 2022 Free Agency
Gut feeling: We add someone to the 4/5 rotation, but it's a PF on a cheaper deal. ThInk like Paul Millsap for minimum type of deal. Maybe not specifically him, but something along those lines. He's the player type this team is missing in the post now after adding Kessler.
Keep in mind, Connelly drafted Vanderbilt. Finch loves Vanderbilt. I expect him to continue to have a big role. Towns isn't going anywhere. We just added Kessler too. I'm not sure they'll want to invest a ton of money at PF.

I will always like Rubio, and he deserves credit for helping Ant.
That said, if we want a guy like that, I think Tyus Jones is the better choice at this point.

Re: 2022 Free Agency
For 5 year / $125 mil would you rather have John Collins or Miles Bridges?

Re: 2022 Free Agency
If we want to lead NBA in technicals, we can add DMC. Seriously, maybe he has ties with Demps, Finch, Connelly.

Thoughts on Chris Boucher? He’s had moments with Toronto.

Re: 2022 Free Agency
Favors? 1 year left for about $10m is the kinda deal that would be nice. Could be a chance OKC would cut ties to give minutes to youth… if we could get him 10-15 minutes that would be about right
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

Re: 2022 Free Agency
With LAC using its taxpayer MLE on John Wall, it means Isaiah Hartenstein will be moving to another team as a free agent.
Are we still interested, after drafting Walker Kessler?

I would think no. Too bad. Really liked Hartenstein. Think he’s undervalued.

I came here to post about the exact same guy after reading this article on The Ringer: https://www.theringer.com/2022/6/28/23185684/nba-free-agency-chris-boucher
I hadn’t been giving Boucher much consideration as I generally hadn’t thought of him as a solution to our rebounding issues, but after reading the article it really sold me on all his other traits (outside shooting, switchable defense, block rate) and I was even surprised to learn he’s a good offensive rebounder as well.
I think he’s exactly the type of player we need to slot into that fourth big man rotation spot. I could see him being able to play alongside KAT, V8, Naz or Kessler for stretches and I think he’ll come at the right price as well. Would love to lock him up for 3 years on an MLE level contract. That alone would make this a positive free agency for me.

Ricky is out with ACL surgery. He may never be the same again.

BTW, I'm not sure Ricky wants to come back for a 3rd stint.

I like Boucher but once again he's a 6'9" 200 lb guy. Too skinny. We have McD and Vando.

Also 30 and coming off a bad year. I wouldn't be shocked by a signing, but I don't think he is a priority.

Collins. Bridges could be a one year wonder.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
