If I had to give some note to the player it will be:
3.5/5 Ant: he was there not perfect but take responsibility. Défense was not his best.

3.5/5: Rudy was great he did his Rudy things. He always have a tough match up against AD but fight well.

2.5/5: Randle was average . His offense was okay his défense awful.. we have to be patient he did not play for long time, new team…

2/5: Jaden : im so frustrated with him. He start well and one more time unable to deal wit fouls issues… hole he learn and improve fast.

1.5/5: Mike was awful in first half , a bit better in second. Shoot did not go in it’s happened. I’m not worry Mike has always been a diesel, he will need some games to find his rhythm.

1/5: Naz , no rebound no défense … he score but I’m expected much more from him.

2.5/5: Ragu: good energy . Shoot not very well but night like this happen. I’m not worry gréât player.

3,5 : Naw was good , shoot well and play hard. Nice to see

1/5 : Finchy: let the small rotation way too long and it cost us the game. I know Rudy have to rest but why not put Minnot , Garza at some part of the game?

Overall deserved loss. Too little too few, too late…. Only game 1 not worry too much but some work to do.

Mike was really bad.

Julius slept walked through that game.

Donte was trying to be assertive but it wasn't going.

Really liked what I saw from NAW & Rudy.

Defenders are starting to use Jaden's aggressiveness to their advantage to bait him into foul trouble.

Ant ISO ball makes me want to throw up, sick of his "give me the ball" mentality he's developed since every media, every player is stroking his ego.

Also, ever since training camp, Naz has seemed in a different space attitude wise, I wonder if he wants to move on

Interesting, because I actually think tonight was enough evidence to tell me we will be fine with an 8ish man rotation.

I'm not worried about Naz and Donte, and NAW looked like he's closer to his old self. Yes, Conley and Jaden especially struggled among the starters. But you're not going to give either of them DNP-CDs. And neither will likely play less minutes in games than they did tonight. So there just aren't minutes available.

Maybe, but his energy and defense were… commensurate with his age ;). Bronny also really helped him and us.

Basically every team not named Boston has a Bronny-type player.

Maybe as a two way. Bronny is a guy who needs to work long and hard to make the rotation… of the G league Lakers team.

The continuous ISO ball isn't going to work. You can't win championships doing it. The great Phil Jackson had to make Jordan see the light back in the day. It's up to Finch to do the same with Ant.

We're going to win the west.

I disagree ! When Rudy sit, we can't put Randle or Naz at 5. Not rebounding well, not enough defense. I hope i'm wrong and they show better than tonight at the C position. Garza and Minott for me deserve to play , and maybe even more than Joe!
I look the replay as i did not look data much but i got shocked by our PG play, Ant 0 assist-4 TO, Mike 2 Assist- 3 TO !

On positive note, I liked how Gobert passed the ball.

It's not like KAT looked any better in game 1. Give Randle a chance, more offense through him and it will look better.

Lineups like this maybe for the 48 minutes if an 8-man rotation is run...
12 mins: Conley, Edwards, McD, Randle, Gobert
12 mins: DDV, Edwards, McD, Naz, Randle
12 mins: DDV, Edwards, NAW, Randle, Gobert
8 mins: Conley, NAW, McD, Naz, Gobert
4 mins: DDV, Edwards, NAW, Naz, Gobert

Game 1 and we have…

1. Finch looking in over his head
2. McD looking blah
3. Ant with no discipline
4. Connelly looking washed up
5. Randle uninterested
6. 2 1st round picks benched

List goes in … unprepared, lack of motivation, lots of excuses

I wonder if TC was the most prepared person for new season start. Even Finch did not know about Gobert extension.

Luckily, Tim Connelly didn't make the trade looking only at the Lakers game on Oct. 22. We will be fine.

Rebounding is going to be our biggest weakness this year.

Yikes. Rudy isn’t great at it and our Naz and Randle aren’t either. Gonna take a LOT of TEAM focus to get by.

I expect the Naz/Randle pairing to work okay in most matchups, but it can't be paired with Conley. Conley needs that backline rim protector at this point of his career.

There will be time through the season to experiment with who that 9th man should be, I'm not too worried about them getting around to it in game 1.

Good God, no.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

I thought we looked pretty disconnected at times, especially Randle on defense. Hopefully that improves with familiarity with the team. Not an impressive debut though.

PG - If Conley has slowed down that much, age matters, he should be looking at the backup PG. Need to find another PG who can get offense set up and going without turning it over. DD...maybe.

Wings - will be fine, but Minott needs to play. I would put him immediately behind Jaden as his primary sub. Energy, length, athleticism...all needed. Naz and Randle need to defend and rebound or it's just not going to work, and small ball is a disaster if we play any type of legit athletic 7'.

C Rudy seems slower. NEED a backup 5.

I vaguely remember that one team I didn't want to play in the playoffs last season Lakers. It seems like they had our number last season as well. So you can consider that into this loss as well.
