Almost everybody was against Lavine and Dunn for Butler.

First off. Its pre-season. Rust is running rampant.

Second. Everyone is taking in a totally new system and style of play.

Third. Like I was saying during the Smitch run, these guys are young and they are not refined vets yet. They still got kinks to work out. No coach was going to come in here and drastically make them a great team. People dont seem to get that at all. It will take time. Thibs has great foundations in place. Smitch believe it or not also did some good things to grow these guys. We will see a progression. Give it time.

Its like people though some magic wand would be waved and everyone's deficiencies would vanish.

I didn't think deficiencies would vanish but was looking for some type of progression in individuals or a difference in team play after the offseason. Yes it is way too early to judge, but this team won 29 games last season. Figuring they need to win at least 12 more games to make the playoffs, I'm just wondering if that is going to happen. So far, wolves don't look that different in terms of their strengths and weaknesses.

I know it's not going to change immediately but half expected something to pop from the get go.

Na it might take another month or two actually. I see the offense coming along way before the defense. They were horrible. Thibs going to have to hammer it home to them every practice.

It will come. I think we will already likely see a refinement in team play on opening day. We still got what? 3 weeks or so of practices and games before then. I would def caution against thinking we will be a 50 win team this year, I have always felt comfortable projecting us at about 40 win mark (my guess is 38) but we will see. Its fine to be worried just dont take too much away from these early games.

We will be knocking on the door of the playoffs this season and will smash it in next season.

I tried talking to the NBA online chat help, and he said it's possible no one is recording at the arena. How are you guys watching it? Anyone else able to watch these games on nba.com?

How did you apply for that team pass?

The middle section on this page: http://www.nba.com/leaguepass

Allows you to pick a team for $120.

I have no doubt that this Timberwolfs team will have better results than previous season. I saw first half of the game against NO Hornets and you cannot expect anything better with just one player in the mood. This Dunn guy will be from big importance for a team, especially if we do not see much better Rubio. C'mon you just cannot put the ball down in the post where there are always 2 defenders because other one came to help who does not have to be worried about Rubio alone on 3pt line. Actually all teams now letting him alone all the way until he reach top of the cap, that is border of his range. I do not want to be too much harsh on Ricky but do we have PG in this league with worst stroke than him, Rondo maybe? Bjelca is still lost in his position, he cannot guard real PF and he cannot do the damage by stretching opponents D enough. I also do not see him as a great rebounder because of his lack of mass and athleticism but I do see him helping Dunn organizing and running second unit. True Wolves need a more reliable shooters, like K-Mart was. Wiggins and KAT had a bad games, actually Wolfes were holding on pretty good when you look the score considering that no one except Lavine had a good game. I watched stream that had radio commentator on with only to cameras, one main and other underneath the basket.

Todays game will be streamable on Timberwolves.com if you are 75 miles within Target Center. That means there will be pie.

Mike Fratello on the Timberwolves season preview on NBATV just said that he thinks that Andrew Wiggins is more "talented" than Towns. It actually isn't as bad or uniformed as I thought they would be. No, "i'm shocked Rubio hasn't been traded" or "LaVine needs to become more than just a dunker" comments just yet.

Against the Denver tonight key thing in my opinion will be rebounding, Denver has bigger(taller) rotation and Minnesota have a problem with securing reb as I understood. Interesting duel for me to watch will be of course Bjelica vs his countryman Jokic.

Yea I could see us having some wars with Denver this season. Seem like the kind of team that could be a bad match up for us. Malone is also a decent coach.

Looks like it's working for me, too even though I'm 250 miles away.
