Don't they have picks to offer. I would lean towards accepting Gordon, and their next Three available FRPs 2019-2021-2023.

Not great picks is more what I meant.

That's why their needs to be two first round picks included in the deal IMO.

Don't think that Tucker would be considered the filler in the "package centered around Eric Gordon and fillers" that tweet is referring to, too important of a player

Filler more likely means something like Nene and minimum guys, to get salaries to match

I heard that Gordon, Tucker and an FRP was the offer days ago. You're saying they want to lessen the offer as the media is saying they are ready to come strong?

I didn't hear/read that, its certainly possible

I'm just saying that "filler" almost never refers to useful players like Tucker, usually just whatever contracts add up to what is needed.

In a deal with Miami I would consider Richardson to be the centerpiece and Olynyk to be the Filler. Olynyk ranked at 93 is a useful player and much younger than Tucker so more valuable in trade IMO. However, I would certainly consider him filler in a deal with Miami. I guess we look at filler differently.

I know people said this last year about Harden & CP3 but how would Harden & Butler work? Seems like a really odd fit wit how both need the ball in their hands so much

I meant more how the media uses "filler", not what we fans consider the players to be

I don't recall "filler" being used by a NBA analyst/journalist to refer to even a rotation caliber player

That's just how I was interpreting that tweet

 Wut? The 2016/17 season is widely considered Waiters' best season so far. These are his stats for that season (based on 25 mpg, 20 FGA/100 poss, USG% > 22 in 16/17 as a filter for players with his kind of usage):

54/60 in PER
59/60 in ORtG
55/60 in WS/48
52/60 in OBPM
59/60 in TS%

Dion Waiters sucks, period. If Dion Waiters is the best player on your team, you're fighting for a Top 3 pick. Trading him is a salary dump because for whatever reason Riley thought it a good idea to give him that contract.

That's what this season about. Fighting against superteam. I think we should use this moment if HOU wants Butler for Tucker, Gordon, FRP. If we able somehow send Dieng to SAC without losing that FRP from HOU this would be a really good trade for us. I still think that Thibs kind of gone crazy in talks with PHI if he asked for Simmons, but if Saric, RoCo and FRP is out of reach, then HOU offer should be second option. I highly doubt that MIA gives us Richardson, Bam and FRP for Butler. So move on. I just hope we can get the trade done this week and have whole preseason to build some chemistry

Gordon & Capela in exchange for Butler & Dieng.

Harden, Butler, & CP3 is pretty damn good.

That's not going to happen. Capela is core player. He may actually be better for their team needs than Butler. Not as good as Butler, but fits their team better than Butler.
Don't think they can trade Capela, he just resigned this summer.

It can't be done IIRC until 12-15-18 and that's irrelevant as it won't be done.

It will leave us with KAT, Olynyk, Dieng at C and Taj, AT, Deng, KBD at PF. With almost 30 mil locked in backup C position.

Olynyk is listed as a PF on ESPN and Bam is listed as a center. Not that KO can't play center. It wouldn't be ideal unless we move Dieng and that is the talk that we'd send the FRP to the Kings to move Dieng.

KO cant defend PF, so you basically swap Dieng for same player (okay, improves 3pt shooting) and lose FRP. I dont see any point to do so

Gordon / Capela - Butler / Dieng

would be awesome!

I have a sick feeling that today is the day we all end up hugely disappointed in our return for Butler. If players like Gordon or Richardson are going to be the best we can get for Butler right now, I sure wish we would just hang on to him and see if better offers are available at the trade deadline.

Not a huge fan of possibly landing just Gordon,Tucker and some late round picks if he goes to the Rockets. However Gordon is one of the best 6th men in the league and gives our bench a major upgrade and Tucker all be it at 33 or 34 is still a pretty good defender. This would be more of a Thibs type deal in a win now model, which with these two and taking Jimmy off the Wolves I real don't think keeps us in the playoff hunt.

Still would prefer a deal with the Sixers for Covington if that's possible or the Heat for Richardson or Winslow.I want a cheap 3 & D SF that's young enough to grow with or still be effect when Towns & Wiggins hopefully hit their ceilings and to also cut payroll which papa Glenn would love to do.

It's a win compared to having Whiteside, Waiters, or Johnson on our team.
So none of those guys can help? You do realize all three played well vs the wolves.

Go home. That’s awful. All three are negative, multi-year contracts, and you know that. Nobody on a neutral trade board ranks any of them as positive, including retired heat Mod BBallFreak, and many rank them very negative

You aren’t the GM of the Heat, and we aren’t the GM of the Wolves, even if you convince someone with lies, it does not change our favorite teams one bit.

If you don’t want to discuss things honestly, then you should stay on your own board.
