Butler has requested a trade (Part II)

Butler on the Rockets would be scary. Seeing the Rockets potentially beat the Warriors would be nice, but I also don't want Jimmy Butler to win a championship after what he's done to us and they've got no young talent or picks to offer (Capela will be untouchable).

Don't they have picks to offer. I would lean towards accepting Gordon, and their next Three available FRPs 2019-2021-2023.

I just checked the SI top 100 players list and was surprised to see Eric Gordon in the top 50 at 49. I thought he would be ranked lower. PJ Tucker checked in at 85. Two top 100 players and a FRP under the circumstances wouldn't be horrible. It's just that they're so old. Gordon a year older than Jimmy and Tucker 33. That's why their needs to be two first round picks included in the deal IMO.

Don't think that Tucker would be considered the filler in the "package centered around Eric Gordon and fillers" that tweet is referring to, too important of a player

In a deal with Miami I would consider Richardson to be the centerpiece and Olynyk to be the Filler. Olynyk ranked at 93 is a useful player and much younger than Tucker so more valuable in trade IMO. However, I would certainly consider him filler in a deal with Miami. I guess we look at filler differently.

Dion Waiters sucks, period. If Dion Waiters is the best player on your team, you're fighting for a Top 3 pick. Trading him is a salary dump because for whatever reason Riley thought it a good idea to give him that contract.

That's what this season about. Fighting against superteam. I think we should use this moment if HOU wants Butler for Tucker, Gordon, FRP. If we able somehow send Dieng to SAC without losing that FRP from HOU this would be a really good trade for us. I still think that Thibs kind of gone crazy in talks with PHI if he asked for Simmons, but if Saric, RoCo and FRP is out of reach, then HOU offer should be second option. I highly doubt that MIA gives us Richardson, Bam and FRP for Butler. So move on. I just hope we can get the trade done this week and have whole preseason to build some chemistry

That's not going to happen. Capela is core player. He may actually be better for their team needs than Butler. Not as good as Butler, but fits their team better than Butler.

KO cant defend PF, so you basically swap Dieng for same player (okay, improves 3pt shooting) and lose FRP. I dont see any point to do so

I have a sick feeling that today is the day we all end up hugely disappointed in our return for Butler. If players like Gordon or Richardson are going to be the best we can get for Butler right now, I sure wish we would just hang on to him and see if better offers are available at the trade deadline.

Not a huge fan of possibly landing just Gordon,Tucker and some late round picks if he goes to the Rockets.However Gordon is one of the best 6th men in the league and gives our bench a major upgrade and Tucker all be it at 33 or 34 is still a pretty good defender.This would be more of a Thibs type deal in a win now model,which with these two and taking Jimmy off the Wolves I real don't think keeps us in the playoff hunt.

Still would prefer a deal with the Sixers for Covington if that's possible or the Heat for Richardson or Winslow.I want a cheap 3 & D SF that's young enough to grow with or still be effect when Towns & Wiggins hopefully hit their ceilings and to also cut payroll which papa Glenn would love to do.
