I wouldn’t be as mad if these ugly losses served it purpose, showing how bad Saunders is to lead to his firing. Yet rosas and maybe Taylor have even said that he is not even close to being in jeopardy of losing his job. How the h**l not. He has shown he is a bad coach. I don’t care who is on the team.

Most baffling thing was why on earth was Beasley inbounding the ball on final play when he is the best 3 pt shooter on the team??

Raps fan here. Watched the game to cheer on Edwards. Gotta say, even for an outsider watching Russell it is super frustrating. He kills any team momentum you guys have almost every time he steps on the court. I would be so mad if I were his teammates, he’s not good enough at all to be a ball hog but he is one of the biggest hogs in the entire league. I literally yelled ‘pass the ball to Edwards you idiot!!!’.

I think if you sat him your record would be much better. Dude needs a serious reality check, hopefully young Saunders has the guts to sit his a$$.

Anyways.... I’m cheering for you to improve. Edwards and KAT the future (with Dlo playing in China).

Calinks wrote:I'm just super confused as to why the team plays down the stretch like that. I can't believe it's just DLO being a douche and taking all the shots, that has to be the gameplan. My question is why? What analytics are they looking at that is telling them that DLO going hero mode has to be the way they play to win? Just utterly confused at what they are thinking there.

He was brought in to be that guy in the 4th. And dlo believes he is that guy in the 4th. Dlo cant play off the ball nor defend. If hes out there, its to be our version of kobe.

I knew this would happen once they cut the lead to 99-92 and Ryan didnt take a TO. I hate the challenge rule but why didnt he challenge the Layman on Derozan block or the Beasley contest on Derozan. Like I really don't understand. The Beasley no call I'm not surprised at cause we should've closed out the game.

Once again the opposing big man makes it look easy (19 & 8). McDaniels needed to be in on Derozan the last 6 minutes.

Fire Ryan Saunders tonight snd elevate David Vanterpool for the rest of the season.

Timberwolves are 3-6 with a lead going to the 4th: worst in the NBA.

Saunders should realize that without KAT, Edwards should be the first option. He is so talented not to be. Beasley 2nd and 3 Russell. We would be much better for sure. And for the love of god, please stop starting okogie

Games like this is when I miss when Byron Scott and Kenny Atkinson would pull Dlo for his ball hog poor play. In LA they would bench him for Clarkson and Brooklyn it was Spencer. Without a Vet coach or another playmaker/shotcreator Dlo will continue to try and do the most especially without KAT (Even though we should've gotten this win easily)

Atkinson would look really nice on the Wolves sideline.

This is ridiculous. Ryan waits to late to call TO and make the correct subs. Like someone said I think he wants to be buddy buddy with players. Player's coaches only stick around if you have 2-3 Superstars on your roster (Nets,GSW,Clippers). His age really has been showing. Ryan needs to go to the NCAA for a few years then come back up

He's an assistant with the clippers. He might be interested in whipping I mean coaching dlo again lol. But his rotations are just as bad as Saunders

The Wolves win probabilities at about the times of the screenshots were 93.0% (MEM), 98.1% (ORL), and 97.8% (SA).

I came to the realization that DLo sucks like 10 games ago and have basically made my peace with it. It seems like the rest of the board is starting to move from the denial phase to the anger phase. I'm fully in the acceptance phase and am more interested in how to use his strengths and minimize the impact of his crippling weaknesses.

Have him come off the bench and send him to the corner to make the odd three. Seriously, Westbrook is better for team basketball than Dlo at this point. Rubio should definitely be starting and Edwards should 100% be the go to guy while KAT is away. Dlo should never be in to end games. You know he will always try hero ball whenever he touches the ball and that just instantly kills team chemistry.

Watching Dlo is like watching some guy at the YMCA that has only ever watched basketball and never actually played competitively, one of those guys that tries all the dumb moves, barely passes, and yells ‘Kobe!!’ when he shoots.

Admittedly, his hair at the moment is also not helping his likability.

Thing is, you can't play DLo at all if he's off the ball. He doesn't/can't/won't run off screens or anything so you can't get any offense from him or create any openings by trying that. He's slow and unathletic and seemingly lazy. I guess he'd provide a little bit of spacing but that isn't worth nearly enough to make up for the fact that he's literally the worst defensive player in the NBA. He's unathletic on defense but the real killer is that he has terrible, terrible defensive awareness. And his effort gets super bad sometimes. Also frustrating is that he's a talented passer but not a willing one. He'll make great passes but not routine ones. He's not really interested in throwing a pass that gets a teammate a bucket if it's not the kind of pass that gets the announcers talking about what a great pass it was.

I also watch as a former player and think about how much I would hate playing with this guy.

His game is dribbling into tough, contested, unstoppable shots. They are unstoppable so when he's on fire we are golden.

God it's hard to do anything with that 'skill set'.

Hopefully when KAT comes back he can somewhat make up for all the negatives that 'no hustle' Russell brings to the court.

Calinks wrote: It's also mind-boggling they keep forcing the two PG lineup when it has yielded nothing. Even if you want to keep working on it, fine but not close out a game. I don't know what the philosophy is in the last 7 minutes to let that happen.

Because that's the only way you're going to give both minutes. Saunders doesn't have the balls or the intelligence to sit Russell, and he can't take Rubio out when he's running the team the way he did tonight. So he has to put them together at the end of the first and the end of the third, and then a few more minutes at the end of the game because having Rubio there makes it seem like he wants to control the game, even though nobody outside of Russell gets to even touch the ball.
