Tomorrow , not sure ho will play. ANT will probably not play or not play much. Not sure Mike and Rudy play as well.

It looks like Finch did not lie at least about two things:

First, when he said that Minott has been looking great

Randle is getting back from the shoulder so his doctors might let him play limited minutes. I would rest Ant, Naz, Rudy, and Mike. Start Jaden because he has foul issues and needs the run to work it out. Minute limit him to 20 or even 15. Start RD, DDV, MCD, Minott, and Garza/Randle. Randle should handle the 5, let Minott and Miller cover the PF. Just use the game for player evaluation and development.

Hi mates, For what the preseason is worth, what did you think of Randle's debut?
"...I want to compliment him, we all expected that he would take up the game, we have prepared the plan race on him, we have doubled. And, as usual, he did what he wanted..."

He did not play 9 months, he turned the ball over couple of times, however 2 of his 6 made shots were and1, had 5 assists, 6 rebounds in 26 minutes. He is not Towns replacement, he is a completely different player.

The Good - The Physicality, wow. He isn't afraid of contact--in fact he welcomes it. He is a bully in the paint and post, routinely gets the ball and just backs down smaller players a-la Charles Barkley.

Then, he is a crafty and effective passer out of the post but also out on the perimeter. He adds a level of playmaking on a consistent basis we never really saw from Towns.

His playstyle meshes well with ANT, notably both are physically imposing and are really good at doing what they do best while consistently doing what they do best.

The Bad - Spacing. Randle likes to abuse the blocks. It's a bit old-school in a way [especially compared to Towns] but the spacing with Randle/Gobert offensively isn't great. Now, Randle is a good enough passer where he should be able to find Gobert for potential lobs or dump-offs. Having Gobert next to Randle also limits the effectiveness of cutters from the perimeter, which in turn limits some of Randle's playmaking by taking those cuts off the shelf for Randle's passing.

Overall - A good addition who fills a need. Finchy is going to absolutely love the line-up flexibility. Some of the line-ups you can come up with, like NAW/DDV/Minott/Randle/Reid can legitimately switch 1-5 against many teams/line-ups and not feel like you are giving up a major advantage to the opposition. It also gives Randle supreme spacing.

This is an example of Randle/ANT minutes distribution.

1st Quarter
ANT/Randle 6 Minutes
ANT 6 Minutes

2nd Quarter
Randle 6 Minutes
ANT/Randle 3 minutes
ANT 3 Minutes

3rd Quarter
ANT/Randle 6 Minutes
ANT 6 Minutes

4th Quarter
Randle 5 Minutes
ANT 3 Minutes
ANT/Randle 4 Minutes

ANT: 37 Minutes [Less if we are winning big, obviously]
Randle: 30 Minutes

Over under on how many games Westbrook plays before he wears out his welcome and gets waived?

This is not a good scenario for Minott, he's trying to do too much because there is nobody else who can do much of anything.

Clark bringing the defensive aggressiveness. He's disrupted a number Nuggets possessions already.

Dozier making the choice to get down to 15 roster spots pretty easy.

Minott, Garza, Shannon, Nix, and Clark all played really well considering they are going against the Nuggets regular rotation. If Denver wasn't shooting ridiculously well on 3s the score would be pretty tight.
