Big reason for all those rebounding numbers for Turner is his length, I won't be surprised at all if his standing reach at draft combine will be 8'10 or 8'11, add it to his great tenecity when he goes after boards and you can see why he's bee such a great rebounder.

Every time I see Turner, I think Scottie Pippen.

DX has us taking (2) Favors, (13) Sanders, and (20) Lucas, however at those picks Turner, Monroe/Singler, Brackins/Cousins/Lawaii are all available.

If we do somehow get all 3 pick this year, which I don't think we will...

I hope we package up 2 of the picks to move up. We don't need 3 rookies coming onto our team. 2 tops.

this is a great draft, if you draft the right players you can turn this team around like Portland did in Roy's draft year. There are prodigies like Wall and Favours, there are also ready to play right away great upperclassmen like Turner, Aldrich, Singler, Johnson. But I agree that we if possible Utah ans Cha' pick should be combined in an attempt to move up into top10.

I think it's possible to somehow aquire two top 5 picks in this draft....

Obviously we will most likely have one id say 90%

Use assets ( rubio/pekovic, utah pick/bobcats pick, some current players) or what not. If you wanna move up and get a aldrich type you could probably do it. Favors might be hard, since he will probably go #2. Aldrich, wesley johnson could possibly be had though.

You know Kahn is gonna do some dealing that's forsure.

I think we will get all three. I also think the shot gun method might be better in what is widely considered such a deep draft. Trading up our two picks won't get us very far -- maybe to #9/10? This isn't the NFL draft where you have some kind of point scale and trades like this are easily done.

Wilkins/Pecherov/Pavlovic/Cardinal most likely won't be back. Maybe Gomes too.

We should have the roster spots to take on three rookies.

meh not what I'd want to do, especially with FA's coming on, rubio and pekovic in the wings.

Being young is cool, but you don't want your whole team 25 and under.

Two rookies tops, Kahn won't draft 3, as last year shows. We'll see I guess, i'm betting on us only having 2 picks anyways, I don't think charlotte pick will go to us this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got all 3 this year. And obviously the picks would be available to be added in for a trade for a vet at the deadline, but I think we could handle 3 rookies.

I mean, the guys who are likely be here next season without trades(whether through talent or guaranteed contract):

Jefferson
Love
Flynn
Sessions
Ellington
Hollins
Brewer
Gomes

It's only 8 guys. Bring in Pekovic and we're only at 9. We only have the money for either 1 big free agent (Joe Johnson perhaps) or one younger high paid free agent (Gay) and maybe a lower priced vet role player. We've currently got to keep 1 roster spot available for Rubio in 2 years, but our other players (except for MAYBE Wilkins if he re-signed for the vet minimum) are awful and should be gone. We've got room for 3 rookies with some talent. I'd much rather bring in two rookies in the mid-late teens than pay Sasha, Stewie, or Jawai anything to stay, and any vets available for the minimum aren't going to add THAT much to the team anyway. Obviously trades would change things, but we're looking to consolidate talent, not dilute it, so I still see spots open.

I still don't see us getting that bobcats pick...

Teams around them, I see getting better, lots of injuries...

Sacramento, playing better, martin will come back.
Philly- Brand appears back, speights due back in a couple, iverson back.
New Orleans- Chris paul is due back soon. ( paul, okafor, west, peja )
Chicago is about even with them, Derrick Rose isn't gonna be average all year.
Clippers are close also, with gordon back now and Griffin back in 2 weeks.

I think we'd be lucky to get the bobcats pick, even though I think they are about 12th right now or right on that border where we'd get it.

I really don't want to have 3 rookies on this team either. We are basically set at positions in a way, we just need that great wing to put us on the fast track, thats Turner.

I want Kahn to do everything possible to get Turner and Aldrich, if he can't get Aldrich what do you guys think about Alibi?

I don't know if the Wolves need him, but Dexter Pittman could be Big Al Jr if his physical progression continues.

He has poor defensive awareness just like Al too!

Trading up to #9 or #10 isn't the worst thing. I'd rather have #1-3 and #10 than #1-3, #14, #19

John Wall with a very good game vs great competition in UNC:

16 pts
5-10 fg
1-2 3pt
5-7 ft
7 assists
5 reb

I thought wall had a very good first half. Especially first 10 minutes.

Second half, I'm not sure if it's because the team was pressing or his cramps, but he got sloppy. He had 8 turnovers, which is way too many.

You can see why he's thought of as the best player in the draft though. His athleticism and Pg abilities are great. He needs work though on not turning the rock over ( done it to much this year ) and his mid range shot could use a little work.

Even though they still lost, I was struck by how much UNC has improved in just a couple of weeks. They looked helpless against Syracuse in November, but the guard play has improved dramatically.

- I'm not convinced Ed Davis is a high-upside, Top 5 type of prospect. But to me there's not much downside, either. He will be a serviceable NBA player for a long time.

- Deon Thompson isn't an NBA player.

Time to push back the timetable on Al-Faroq Aminu. His basketball IQ isn't high, but his struggles are mostly to do with his coach/teammates not understanding how to put him in a position to succeed. This is a guy who does his best work facing the basket in the high post, but he needs space that he just isn't getting right now.

His game is much more suited for the NBA, and he's still a solid long-term prospect. These types always find a spot in the NBA, and it is hard not see a little Boris Diaw in his game.

And where does Gonzaga come up with all these under the radar foreign guys? Sacre, Harris and Olynyk all have a chance to be college stars and possibly NBA players...

He'll be back in 8 weeks approx.

Scouts know what he can do, and he will be back for the last 6-8 weeks of the season.

Lets hope he falls a bit out of radar and we can grab him by trading up to #7 or #8 :D

Don't see that happening but it would be nice.

he has already shown what he can do, and will have plenty of time late in year to showcase those skills.

He's a top 5 talent, probably top 3.

Now that Love is back I think there is a decent chance that we'll be picking around #7-8 anyways. I hope to God that Turner falls to us.
