Year 1: truly understand the talent
Year 2: Add a lot of vets and give heavy minutes to give young players to experience what playoff grind/meaningful games late in the season is like. Whether it's actual playoffs or last 20 games as if they're the playoffs when every game counts.
Year 3: Improve bench to cover long grind of regular season now that young players understand what it takes to win. Adapt game plan to fit strengths of players and what the current NBA is.

Bingo.

I really need some positive news. The last two months have been like watching a train crash in slow motion. Not pretty...

He took what the defense gave him, it's something you can do when playing with better teammates. I'm guessing you really had a problem with Pek and his lack of shots away from the basket.

Who said I had a problem with it? In fact, I'd argue it's actually good, unless you want an abundance of midrange shots in the offense.

I’m guessing this is partially the Towns effect. Having a center who can shoot 3’s opens the paint for the other big.

Been thinking about it all day.

I will be bitterly disappointed and upset if we lose tomorrow. It will be a shame and a black mark. With that said all will not be lost.

-I think we are in for an incredible playoffs.

-We will have two first rounders, one being in the lottery, small shot to add a significant piece

-We will better know what we have. Maybe we move Wiggins for better pieces, maybe Towns or Wiggins makes a big leap after failing while so close.

-Thibs has a much deeper understanding of what he has and what he needs. Maybe he also learns something about flexibility and getting more out of his players when he possibly sees guys like Rubio and Bazz having success on playoff teams.

-Next season, if roster changes are made, we could be much improved (mostly through depth, system fits).

A loss tomorrow will be a bitter pill. Probably the worst feeling I will have watching the wolves play ever, but for this team there will be a tomorrow after its all said and done. With that said, her's to hoping we destroy the Nuggets and exorcise those terrible Minnesota demons.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

If Minnesota gets that seventh seed, we can beat Golden State.

Sorry, it read a different way to me.

As someone who followed Taj's career and still is somewhat upset that Chicago moved Thabo for Taj's draft rights it's somewhat weird to see him doing this well, he always worked on his game but one summer he just came back with a real low post game and good footwork.

Taj has improved his low post skills. But also NBA regressed a lot at PF in terms of size and physicality. With recent shift to perimeter game, Taj is often playing against oversized wings, not true bigmen.

I believe this too. Especially given the circumstances. I think this team would step up to the task after making the playoffs in the fashion it has had to take

If Minnesota somehow gets by Houston, SA knocks off a weakened GS, the finals would be a real possibility.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
