Re: Free Agency Thread
With Ball and Caruso both signing with the Bulls, Coby White’s stay may be short. There were no winners in that 6/7 slot of the Culver/a white draft. I’d take Reddish, drafter 8, over either and he hasn’t been a world beater either.

Re: Free Agency Thread
Taking a flier on Otto Porter or Justise Winslow would be pretty nice at this point.

Re: Free Agency Thread
As always, we're not really in a position where effective guys who are available at our FA price range are going to decide to sign here. Teams who are closer to contention are obviously going to the priority for those players.
At this point, sign and trades or straight up trades are going to be where we improve if we do at all, IMO. So saying that, as frustrating as it is, I don't think a lack of movement at this point should really be that surprising.

Re: Free Agency Thread
Hopefully Holmes can see how well he would fit with us and accepts a reasonable offer. Would full MLE be enough? Probably not right.

The Beasley contract has aged pretty well since it was signed last offseason.

Minnesota does not have "more cap space", they have more flexibility to avoid the Luxury-Tax. Huge difference.
The most Minnesota can offer, outside of a sign-and-trade, is the Mid-Level Exception.

I am astounded by that Richaun Holmes deal. It is around the fair value, but I really expected a team to overpay and throw something like 70/4

Technically you got me there, but my point should have been pretty clear. Glad we created more flexibility it's paying off right now
