Was excited that we traded down and got extra picks and then we burn the first one on Kessler. Meh.

He's a monster shot blocker and he moves his feet pretty well for his size.

I don't hate the pick, don't love it.

I'm not a fan of the Kessler pick, hopefully the Wolves can still end up with one of Liddell, Washington, Jovic, or Wesley.

Best shot blocker in the draft. Solid rebounder.

The Draft is an area where I generally have good takes. This is a very solid pick for Minnesota.

Is he a 5 or a 4 ? Do you think he can start contributing right away or needs another year for development in G-League ?

Everyone will be singing Kessler's praises when teams can't double KAT anymore because he's destroying them in the paint off of easy KAT dimes.

No more getting destroyed on the boards and people driving the rim with impunity.

Definitely a5. He should be able to play right away.

Lead the NCAA in blocks and was historic in that regard (like, one of the best in BLK% since they started tracking that stat). Tall guy, ok mobility, bites on pumps a little too much but a smart drop defender with some potential in our high wall scheme (assuming we run that again).

Offensively largely a dump off, around the rim kind of guy. But out of all the Cs in the 1st/early 2nd he was really the only one taking 3s which, despite the %s, is usually a good indicator of future growth in that regard.

I'd have loved him at 40, don't hate getting the guy but had others I liked more at 19/22.

That said, I can't bet against our scouting department anymore so until proven otherwise this is a good pick in my eyes.
