I was gonna come in here post something about a trade/cut guy. I just see him as the last guy in the bench for me. At PF I would rather give Miller any of those minutes. At SF I would rather give TSJ any of those minutes. If we have an injury and need to count on some this deep in the bench I would feel more comfortable put KDB in the game.

saw him in the summer league and even his good games just weren’t impressive. We wasn’t a basketball player he was an athlete playing basketball.

If we have to make space I think he would be the guy I would care least about loosing.

Sorry but that is and will always be PJ Dozier. Minott has upside, Dozier doesn’t. Minott is cheap, if Dozier blows up (not gonna happen,) he isn’t. Minott hasn’t had his shot yet, Dozier has. Finally, Minott is 6’8 with a great wingspan. Dozier is 6’6 with a great wingspan. 2 inches isn’t nothing when talking about defending larger 3s and 4s.

To be honest forgot Dozier was on the roster. Still doesn’t change how I feel about Minot and playing time.

You seem to enjoy cutting people down and being Mr. Negativity. Josh will probably not amount to anything, but he has a better chance than Dozier or KBD.

100% agreement and we already know that KBD isn't going to amount to anything. Give Josh minutes before KBD.

I'd love to have the KBD from the season before last.

10 Points (51/39/79), 4 Rebounds, 1.5 Assists, 1 Stock in 22 Minutes. And the Spurs were a better team on both ends with him on the floor.

I don't begrudge you that position, but I want more. Minott, Miller, TSJ, and Garza IMO all have higher upside.

We were talking about the final roster spot. And keeping 2 of Minott, KBD and Dozier.

You could do a lot worse than KBD for your "in case of emergency, break glass" player.

I think we would be doing Josh Minott a favor to help his career if we traded him to a team where he could finally get a little opportunity.

This is what I'm thinking too. A little similar to what Tim did for Malik and Juancho (though he held onto them for another year).

We could. I'm greedy. I want more.

What impressed me most was his defense on Dlo and Reaves. He won’t always hit the 3s, but if he can shoot them well enough to keep defenses honest (I’d say around 35%,) then his game is definitely interesting. :)

Looked good last night, but I just don't see minutes for him on this team. They need to trade him. Let him play good minutes in the preseason. If he pops you can probably get a projected early 2nd for him. He did look way more confident, prepared and in control last night. Good to see that he's obviously put in the work.
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.

I don’t think they’d get anything for him. If they think he can play, they should just keep him in case of injuries.

You're not wrong on the injury front, but teams like LA, OKC and the Clippers would love to get their hands on a young, athletic combo forward with 2 years in the league who can defend multiple positions and has offensive upside. I've no doubt someone would bite if he keeps showing out in the preseason.... If.

We are likely gonna need a cheap backup PF next year, so I think Minott and Miller probably stay.
Minott has moved ahead of Miller for me although I really didn't like either in summer league.
Kind of silly to trade MInott at the point where you've developed him enough he might actually be able to play a non-garbage time minute for you, and start all over with another future 2nd.

kBD should be ahead of them on the depth charts, and I would be curious to see if he could fetch a mid 2nd round pick from some capped out team desperate for depth to save us some money under the tax.

They could trade one guy and then cut Dozier when his 1 mil guarantee runs out (sunk cost and all), and have one roster spot open for an emergency ten day contract.

Oh and please find a big better than Jesse Edwards for the last 2-way.

The Lawn Mower has passed the eye test over these 4 preseason games. Now here are some numbers. In 23.5 minutes/game his OFFRTG: 110.3, DEFRTG: 96.2, EFG%: 76.5, AST/TO: 3.5. I think TC may have stuck gold in the second round! I'm Hyped!

Haven’t we already? He is getting real minutes and with the best unit on the team from a ball movement and hustle standpoint. Bench mob 3 is exactly what Minott needs to show his stuff.

He had some rough minutes tonight. Thankfully Finch didn’t pull him early, and he got to make up for some of it. It’s all part of the development process.

Minott back in the positive column with a +2. Unfortunately he only played 6:30 in the Pels game and 4:30 in the Clippers game. Finch really does like his half rotations.
