As much as I do not want this to happen, it's what more likely does. They have a built in excuse of Towns' injury.

Of course, those who watched the team could see there were issues beyond that, which is why you have some posters calling for Finch's head and others wanting to trade either Gobert or Towns.

There were growing pains, sure, but there's nothing that can be drawn from this season either good or bad. The sample sizes are way too small.

And we might regret that later.

With success often comes unrealistic expectations, especially regarding small-market franchises without the resources of bigger markets.

If you’re on the “Fire Finch” bandwagon, you should probably skip this week’s “Flagrant Howls” podcast, where they wouldn’t replace Finch with coaches like Doc, Budenholzer or Nurse.

It’s time to start considering it.

He’s 1000x better than Ryan was, but man oh man so many small red flags that haven’t been fixed since he’s started.

Relax everyone Wolves are 7 games up in hosting a play-in game. With a little better luck against teams like CHA, SAS, TOR, and ATL, we may even get to the sixth seed. So far we are 5 years ahead of the rebuild timeline with JMcD and Leonard Miller. It's a great time to be a Wolves fan. :D

Trading all our picks for Rudy ended the rebuild timeline. We had a disastrous end of 22-23 with Rudy getting suspended for punching Kyle and Jaden breaking his hand. Then we fell to the 8th seed and lost the Nuggets. Had we been the 7 who knows what happens. Either way this team is too talented to not be the one seed. Finch is really *****ng up this month. If he doesn’t turn things around this might be his last year.

1. Bad rotations, with way too much Kyle, a refusal to find minutes for Miller, and putting JMAC with Kyle and Rudy.

2. He might know what guys are supposed to do, but they don’t listen to him. He never benches players who don’t listen or direct any consequences to the player short of blasting them in the post game press conference.

3. Finch refuses to acknowledge that the offense does not function properly without structure. His organized chaos works to a degree, but it also loses games that should be won. Losing these games is the difference between being a 1 seed and a 6-8 seed. Finch was given a brand new sports car and drives it like a minivan.

Reading some of these posts you would think the wolves are under 500

You know I hear comments like this and I wonder why people don’t seem to get it. We have the talent to be a #1 seed. The goal is not #4 or #5 in the west. The margin for error in this situation is not super high. Losing to a bad team once a month is not acceptable. Losing to two bad teams in the same week is inexcusable. If you think home court doesn’t matter look at the Wolves home and road records this season. We have literally blown our entire lead and now are in danger of falling out of the top 4. Moreover, these are not isolated instances. We have the same problems recurring throughout the month of January with no adjustments by Finch. So no, it is not a sky is falling or overreaction to say we are in serious danger of missing our target seed. Moreover it is not an overreaction to be angry about it.

Isn't most posts are about season expectations, trending, how to get better, and how the team did in a specific game? Those conversations are somewhat independent of the team's current records. If our expectation for this team is 43 wins than we are doing great. Is anyone happy with how this team is trending since 1/7? I don't see the same concerns with LAC, PHX, OKC, DEN, BOS, PHI, CLE, and NYK. Maybe we have more in common with MIL.

Watching Wolves lately is like watching Groundhog Day, we repeat the same issue every day. Maybe Punxsutawney Phil won't see his shadow and we get the 4th seed.

One of the many problems last year was the record against the bottom teams.

After losses against Charlotte and now San Antonio, it's starting to rear its ugly head again. I understand the occasional defeat, but quality teams do not consistently allow this to happen.

But right now they are currently the number one seed in the west. Based on records, do you think all the teams below them with worse records have no problems and haven't lost to bad teams?

Again this is just the wrong way to look at it. No team matters but us. We have 14 losses, that means we are 2nd in the west. We are losing the same way and even when we win it is way too close with insufficient margin for error. On our current trajectory we will not be a home seed. The defeats are self inflicted and a lot of blame is on finch for not making adjustments and holding guys accountable. Anything less than the best record in the nba for the best team is abject failure. You want proof we are the best team, we beat Boston once and should have twice. We beat OKC once and should have twice. We beat Denver in our only meeting. We beat the best, but we cannot be giving 5 games away in one month.

Anything less then the best record means Finch should be fired she the season is a failure? This is not serious talk

Time for you to get higher standards, there are major coaching issues that Finch has and his team keeps making same nistakes over and over again. Look at the Bucks, they didn’t let a good record stick their heads in the ground and completely ignore those bad coaching issues and red flags.

Do you give Finch for having a good defense since he got there? And who cares what the bucks did, it could very well blow up in their face. Doc isn't really known for being great in the playoffs

By my count at least 6 of our 14 losses should be wins. Hawks, Mavs, Celtics, Thunder, Hornets, and Spurs. When almost half of your losses are caused by the same phenomenon, you have to ask questions. That said, anything less than the 1 seed is a failure. Does this mean fire Finch, not necessarily, but you have to admit something is going wrong here.

Yea newsflash, every team who has ever played in nba history has had games where they should of won but didn't. They aren't a perfect team for sure, but no team is. Their best player is 22, of course there's going to be mistakes

You’re missing the point. When you are head and shoulders better than anyone else (like we are,) the standard is higher. We keep melting down in the fourth. This is something that needs to improve and is not. Lack of improvement is a sign of poor coaching. Twice this week we lost while blowing double digits leads in the fourth. Likewise, we almost lost the Nets game in the same way. At what point do you want Finch to actually do something about it?
