Rubio has done nothing thus far to earn him the starting pg spot, so yes..bring him off the bench and find value for Flynn and Luke.

If Rubio hasn't then neither has Irving

no trades, JUST PICK THIS KID!

im not gonna lie i find myself hoping the cavs dont take him so we can get him

What about that blurb makes you excited? And I wouldn't worry I suppose, there's no chance that the Cavs will pass up Irving for Williams.

i like that hes confident and that he calls himself a SF. his play on the court this past season helps to, comes off as a leader

The fact that he calls himself a SF doesn't really change the fact that he's not.

It's that time of year when sports writers will argue that some prospect might be drafted before the consensus number one pick. Guess what, it's not going to happen this year either.

Looking like this, unless Kahn blows the roster (which i don't think he will do). I would like to get rid of Pek though and instill a vet C that doesn't cost a lot (like Ervin Johnson back in the day was).

I'm guessing there will be trades, Kahn's job is on the line.

I wouldn't say his job is on the line, Rambis on the other hand...

His job is on the line for sure. Taylor promised him 3 years, in his first two he won 32 games which isn't up to anybody's standards.

.... not Kahns fault, Rambis is more at fault.

Kahn hired Rambis. Rambis may already be gone, and if the Wolves start poorly next year Kahn will be gone by the all-star break.

Kahn and Taylor hired Kurt Rambis. I agree, he might already be gone. Kahn wont be gone next year imo, if we get a new coach having a slow start will be accepted by the FO due to the new system etc.. If Rambis is still the coach next year and its the same old story then Rambis goes not Kahn. We have really nice pieces, its just that we have a guy who doesn't show any passion during games, is inept at making substitutions at the right time, theoritically his system can work but were not in the 80s anymore and we dont have a Kobe, Pau, Bynum..

I completely disagree. Kahn picked Rambis, that's Kahn's job. Kahn has also has made himself look like a clown on multiple occasions. He's on a short leash or at least he should be.

It's ok that you disagree, but i do remember vividly Glen Taylor stating that he worked closely with David Kahn in appointing the new coach. Its way to naive to suggest that Glen Taylor gave Kahn 100% reign of power without any input whatsover, considering what a rabble Kevin McHale left the ball club in.
You cannot for one iota of a second blame him for the demise of the ballclub, for a young side to get considerably worse after the all-star break is strange, this is a coaching matter in my opinion and David Kahn shouldn't be held fully responsible for appointing him.

Of course I can blame him, he chose the coach and he chose the players. It's ridiculous to not blame him.
Taylor may have been involved with the process of choosing a coach, but Kahn's supposed to be the basketball guy. I can't imagine it wasn't mostly his decision.

Regardless of who hand-picked Rambis, like an apple, from The Great Tree of Coaches, he needs to go.

Your right, you can blame him, thats totally your opinion. Sure we havn't won many games, but we are the youngest team in the league by a long distance, and rebuilding this way was the only (and best way) of building a franchise, we dont have the luxury of being a destination where every player in the league wants to play in.

I think he has done a good job of assembling a squad of guys who have the potential to grow together and become a good ballclub, it does need tinkering, we just need a few Vets to help the young guys develop more, and Kahn did identify this during the last draft with the Webster acquisition.

So getting back onto topic, with the #2 pick in the 2011 draft the Minnesota Timberwolves select... Derrick Williams.
