Gotta ask, has any team ever won COTY, 6th man of the year, and DPOY at the same time. Because Finch, Naz, and Rudy should all be front runners.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Naz is a frontrunner, unless he really steps up his production. He's down around 13 ppg right now when the top reserves are up at 17 ppg. Part of that is due to lower minutes just because he's playing behind both Rudy and Karl, but it is absolutely a factor. Even on a per-minute basis, he hasn't been giving enough for the full season to-date.

Gary Payton won DPOY over Pippen.
But good pull on Philadelphia!

This brings back memories - Aaron McKie had worked as a player agent for a while and contacted me to bring some players to Romania.

One thing I forgot to post last night. The Wolves are now 14-1 when leading heading into the fourth quarter. That is both a fun fact and unreal stat.

Top 5 wins of the year so far for me:
1. BOS OT
2. OKC - Ant Injury
3. GSW - the choke game
4. DEN -11/1 - beat the Champ with they were hot
5. DAL - 12/14 - no more play dead after down early

Mike last 8 games ( 7-1) score 15 with 7 assist per game at 44.6 % at 3. We will need this at play off time. Hope he remain healthy.

We have a chance to have a *generationally* good defense if things continue the way they are.

Jaden hasn't really been 100% all year yet either...

Against the Pacers Kyle played a lot of backup PG. Mike had 9 assists and 0 turnovers. Kyle had 10 assists and 2 turnovers. I don’t know if that is a franchise record, but 19/2 assists/turnovers is incredible PG play.

How much of that is the other top teams not being in clutch time all that often? The Celtics and Nuggets, and Thunder and others are all probably never within 5 in games where they should have a clear advantage. If our first quarter and first half improve our clutch time stats will decrease by virtue of just not being there against bad teams.

This one takes first place for me in the “fun and unreal stat” leaderboard!

Thanks for sharing that, Klomp!

So far this season, Wolves offensive rating is 114 which is roughly around league average this season (17th out of 30 teams). Thing is Wolves are top 10 in both EFG% (9th best) and TS% (7th best). It's the turnovers which is dragging down Wolves offensive rating..Wolves current Turnover% is 7th worst in the league...if we can cut that down to atleast league average, then we can have a good offense. There are atleast 2-3 extremely stupid and avoidable turnovers we make every game...I wish Gobert can just keep things simple on offense instead of trying to do too much stuff which he isn't good at which leads to atleast 1-2 turnovers every game. KAT has definitely cut down some dumb turnovers that he used to commit in the past...still needs to improve. Same thing with Ant

I heard an interesting stat on Lock’d On Wolves

The Wolves are mediocre offensively, but they are #1 against the Top 10 defenses they’ve faced, and are 5-0 in those games.

So yes, against the Bottom 10 defenses, the Wolves rank #20 offensively.

Ben Beecken summarizes it that we still fail to get up for bad opponents every night, and we get very sloppy and make a lot of turnovers. However, unlike last year, now we win those games anyway because our defense is so good. I point to this offensive problem being Ant, not Towns this year, and hopefully Mike Conley can help get Ant to bring the offense every night.

I think that might have changed now that we lost to Philly. That said we are still undefeated the game after a loss. Through 27 that is pretty incredible.

I think 5 game sample size is not large enough to come to a strong conclusion....turnovers are a huge issue

We are doing well on the tough 16 games starting 12/11 so far - 4 and 2 with help from Airport Authority and DLo :D. The next 10 is even more difficult and we need Towns back and JMcD to play well. Hopefully 6 wins or better.
