Lol. Some Europeans tend to wilt under the spotlight and some are oblivious to the foreign pressure. I just wanna know what this guy is so I don't get my hopes up for another whoops I sh the ved. Btw I meant that cursing, i dont give a dam about you in a good way, like he doesn't care about the crowd or who he's facing, he is competitive every play.

If you look at euros today they aren't like that at all. basketball world is way to connected and kids in europe get crazy exposure too.

What do you mean? We just had shved who didnt even dare to touch his guy on the defensive end and got punked every night. I'm sure there are some Europeans who cant handle this pressure away from their homeland as there are many US players who can't handle it in their native country. I just think it's apples and bananas to play in the turkish league and then move to US and have to play for strangers in a foreign land and culture with global exposure. Knowing that the NBA is the elite of the elite doesn't help either.

I guess I could have said some players in general because it's not like only Europeans feel pressure, but I imagine the transition to be much more overwhelming for Europeans. Seems like a much more difficult adjustment than for US kids thus the distinction.

Guys I'm from Turkey and he plays for my rival club so I nearly watch him twice a week and I can tell you that he improved a lot in the last 1.5 years. He is their most reliable player even tho he can't get nearly enough touches because of that chucker Goudelock. He hardly ever misses in the clutch situations so that shows character and he shows a lot of emotions lately and refuses to lose. He was a big spark off the bench today in the their comeback win in the semi final. He is improving his drives however he lacks athleticism and that can be a problem. He is trying on defense but he is neighter strong enough to guard 4s in the nba nor quick enought to guard the 3s. But I believe he can be a 15min bench player who shoots well and stretches the floor.

I have been watching him for years, since he started playing for Red Star.

In the NBA he will have issues guarding players one on one, because he isn't quick enough to guard 3s and not strong enough to guard 4s who post up often (Like Basy already said). But he is really good on help defence. He sees everything, positions himself very well and often can anticipate plays. He is getting steals. He is getting a lot of weakside blocks, eventhough he isn't extremely athletic.

I think he could work defensively in the NBA in an organized defence, where everyone can rotate properly.

^^ Yes. I've watched SRB games during last World Championship, he was active in defense, didn't back down against anyone, took charges, steals, boxed out. He played big. He has high center of gravity, but still fights well for position. He was okay in defense. Not much shot blocker. But man, he was so aggressive in offense. He maximized talents, by using his ballhandling skills, shooting ability, attacked closeouts, supported fastbreaks, moved the ball, set screens, spread the floor.

If Flip plans Lavine to be the backup PG, I think getting Bjelica would be the best because of his ballhandling and playmaking skills to ease that load off of Lavine and then he can play more offball

LaVine should become more comfortable PnR player. I've seen many imes that he couldn't execute simple pocket pass. Teodosic and Bjelica ran PnR to perfection.

He is better than Payne and Bennett, for some reason Flip decided it was a good idea to limit the future flexibility of the Wolves that know can't trade a first until 2022, amazing.
Bjelica should be your starting PF next season, next to either Okafor or Towns, hopefully.

Will Bjelica be able to rebound in the NBA? That is the part that scares me the most about him as a starting PF. I see he has had some decent numbers, but not a lot of bulk, strength, average athleticiscm...typically doesn't translate into a very good rebounder in the NBA

It's not the screener, it's Lavine. He is alergic to contact and does not know how to rub off a screen.
