He made an awesome drive to the rim on that play and the ref fudged him up the A$$. Sorry for the graphic comment, but that is what it was.

I don't care if he would rather drive it in. But I'd like to see him going up and over more if so which typically gets the refs to be critical of their side of the equation instead of his.

The Ref in this instance was a POS who was just out to screw over Edwards. Possibly because he's the #1 pick. I don't know what that POS's issue was.

You would be correct in your thinking. I mean I'm open to possibilities, but not very open. To me that was an OBVIOUS blocking call that a 5th grade recreation league level ref would have got right.

Ya ... and I believe 99% is due to the lack of KAT ever being held accountable since Day 1 in the NBA when it comes to defensive attitude. We won't break him on that now with a max deal - he'll just force his way out. KAT's gonna need his own come to jesuz meeting or it is what it is.

BUT - what really irritates me is the fact these issues can easily rub off on the younger guys like AntMan. How does Ant or any other rookie react to "my defense is lousy, I get my touches, my hustle is unacceptable, I don't lead, but I'm paid the max".... people have picked on Ryan, but I blame coaches prior for allowing this culture to develop. I really really seriously hope AntMan does not succomb to this mentality when he needs all the mentoring he can get. I'd buy season tickets if AntMan moves past KAT/DLo as the teams #1 goto

I'll tell you what he isn't lacking confidence. He pretty casually said he just needs another game to be good and that he pretty much guaranteed he will have a much better game today. I like that casual confidence.

I remember Towns stating the team is going to the playoffs each year after his rookie outing. That kind of confidence and awareness of what things actually take in the NBA. I've counted up to 5 rookies now already looking much more prepared to play the game of basketball in preseason games but I think it's our logjam maybe holding him back. Those are only in games I was able to see. His guarantee would be welcome coming to fuition. Hope he kills it tonight. Jack some threes, slam a few home. Couple chase down blocks again to get people believing in his defensive future.

I'm still wondering when he's going to Houston with Harden going to Philly and Simmons coming here. Rubio, Beasley, Dlo, Simmons, Towns still seems possible. Another parade with him leading possessions should be the next step tonight. Then again I might just be delusional today.

Well sort of Mr. Edwards. 30% was your college average. Or was it 29%. Which means you missed about 70% of your threes in college.

"...I just need to get comfortable." Riiiight, and how long that takes seems to differ by the person.

Talk is cheap. Get comfortable and show us as soon as possible so we can all buy in. He seems to have the confidence thing down. Now we need to see the focus and repeatability.

He's 19 years old.

I'd rather have that type of mentality on the team instead of the "oh shucks I hope to help the team any way I can" approach we've been seeing since the KG era.

I'll already take him over Wiggins every day that ends in "y".

This past game has me a good bit excited about Ant. He had lots of nice flashes.

The biggest thing I have noticed is he is doing some of the small things. Now it might be his own excitement and wanting to show everyone how good he is. But he has been rebounding and hustling on defense.

Last night we got to see his scoring abilities but, he still has a long way to go. He got hot last night which caused some tunnel vision,hero ball. It will take time for him to figure out how to play with Dlo and Towns but those 3 could be special.

Last night was what I have been hoping to see from him. I liked that he tried taking over and playing hero ball, we need someone with that mentality every game! All that I have left to see from him is a more aggressive streak when attacking the rim and not settling for floaters. Certain things will have to be learned as he doesn't seem to want to catch and shoot yet, but why would he? He has never really had that role/option. With the signs we are seeing from Culver and Ant, I am liking our wings more.

I'll agree with you. As long as you agree, and you seem to, that what he's saying is just a bunch of hot air. That's all I'm saying. I agree, I like the confidence for at least one reason. At least now he might feel compelled to try and back his words up. Got to have some kind of reason to try harder. Dangle your own carrot for yourself.

Ant started off the game very hot and I was surprised to see in the end he only shot 5-15. 3-8 from 3 was nice though. He showed ability that could lead to stardom also. Just have to put it all together.
