From the eye test, Gobert and Reid fit together much better than Gobert and Towns. I hesitantly find Towns market during the offseason.

If only.

Some Cavs fans are saying Mobley needs a different partner next to him.

Such a trade would set the team up with a core of Garland, Edwards and McDaniels.

Wasn't that Rosa's pipedream? Cavs needs another outside shooter. They really loss the edge without Markkannen. Towns fits but they also don't want to give up Garland.

Are we able to trade our 2024 1st after the 2023 draft?

I could be wrong, but I believe the soonest the team could trade it would be during the 2024 draft.

Couldn't we select a player for another team, then trade that player?

Nets out: Simmons and a 2023 1rst
Nets in: Gobert

Why - move on from Simmons for a more productive Rudy and only at the cost of a late first. MN gets a year off of Rudy's contract, gets a 1 back, and finds a depth piece in Simmons (who I move to back up 5).

So you want to turn 5 1st round picks and 5 players into Ben Simmons (who has played 42 games in the last 2 seasons) and a 1st round pick outside of the lottery?

I can't believe you took the time to type that out let alone believe it's a possibility.

Tells you how much I like Rudy and the trade. Simmons expires sooner, we aren't getting more than a 1rst back for Rudy, and Simmons can at least fetch us some trade value next year as an expiring

We could trade the player we draft in 2024 at the 2024 draft, but not before.

I don't think Garland or Mobley is available, and without either not enough for KAT.
But if you could sell them on a Gobert/Jarret Allen swap it would be interesting as Allen is 5 years younger, both are signed for 3 more years but Allen makes 1/2 as much (straight 3X20) and would ease our future cap problems.

Gobert for Allen/Osman/Rubio would work. Would be a big kick in the gut to give up all that for Gobert and trade him for Jarret Allen, but that's realistically about where his value was in the first place when age/contract taken into consideration.

Towns right now is closer to Tobias Harris than to himself a year ago. Before trading him we need to re-build his value.

Towns for DFS, Joe Harris, BRO 2023 FRP, DAL or PHX 2029 FRP

Gobert/Reid/Garza
Anderson/DFS/Minott
MCD/TP/Harris
Edwards/Harris/Moore
Conley/NAW/JMac

Harris 20 mil contract expires after 2023-24, (as well as 18mil from TP and KA contracts). DFS 15 mil contract expires after 2025-26

I'm not gonna sell Towns short value wise. I'd rather run it back, see what this team could do with an offseason together. Remember Towns was sick before the season, Rudy in eurobasket, no Conley. Try and upgrade the bench with what pieces we do have, bring back Naw/Naz.

Ok but get Nurse. If Towns still sucks in next years playoffs we are ****.

It's reported that Bey is looking for an 18mil a year contract. The Wolves should definitely not pay that given his production.

Also if we're not fixing our guard rotation significantly this is a bad trade.

Murray has to be in this deal.

I’ve been watching atlanta Bey is brutal defensively, just horrible. He’s a better shooting Nowell basically.

Any deal with Atlanta has to involve Murray and picks for sure( a lot of picks if they are sending Collins as salary filler)
