#1 overall for Chris Paul? Anyone? Dlo and CP. Does that work? Going smaller?
CP/Dlo/Beasley/WebIII or Vanderbuilt/Towns

Big hell no. I don't go in like that for a player over 30. The number 1 pick for a short term asset isn't worth it at all.

Yep but I don't think he cares. He's reached his end goal and seems cemented there. For him it's a debt he is willing to take on. He basically has his dream set up.
The Heat are also a great example of building a team with assets that aren't top 3 picks. They did a fantastic job with scouting and talent acquisition. Wolves have to get much better at that, we need to start finding players outside of the top 10 that can be big contributors. I like what we did last season with guys like Naz, McLaughlin.

So wolves need to become more lucky?

I hope the NBA season is permanently shifted from late October to June to like late January to August. I think it would be huge for players to actually experience Minnesota springs and summers.

Summers in Minnesota kind of suck. Hot and humid unless you're rich and can live on a lake and own a boat.....
Oh Yeah. Players will like summers here.

The heart of a champion. Toronto Raptors win in Double OT to send the series back to Toronto for Game 7. Clippers take a commanding 3-1 lead. I wanted the Bucks to move on, but Gratz to the Heat. Say what you want about Butler, but he's a winner.
I've got 95 posts to go for 10K. Does that make me a RealGM?

No it just means you have a lot of time to waste

Re: ***Around The League 2020 Bubble Thread***
For those annointing MPJ a superstar I found this regarding him on RotoWorld.
MICHAEL PORTER JR.
SF, DENVER NUGGETS
Michael Porter Jr. scored 15 points in 34 minutes off the bench Wednesday, adding six rebounds, one assist and one block.
MPJ's postseason has been up-and-down, with teams targeting him as a defensive liability and some spotty shooting. He was terrific in Game 3 vs. the Clippers though, with 18/10 and three steals in a defeat, and the minutes tonight are encouraging. Porter Jr. is obviously a staple of the Nuggets' future and he's unlikely to be available after the 50-60 range of season-long fantasy drafts next year. He's that good.

I'd be happy to take him on the Wolves. He's a good player, but still has a long ways to go to be a star.

VanterPool interviewing for Pacers HC job.
Spurs assistant Becky Hammon and former Kings head coach Dave Joerger are among the candidates for Indiana's head coaching position.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Hammon and Joerger are among more than a dozen candidates who will participate in a first round of virtual interviews. San Antonio's Will Hardy, Miami's Dan Craig and Chris Quinn, Dallas' Jamahl Mosley and Stephen Silas, Milwaukee's Darvin Ham and Charles Lee, Orlando's Pat Delany, Minnesota's David Vanterpool, Philadelphia's Ime Udoka, Brooklyn's Jacque Vaughn and Portland's Nate Tibbetts are some of the other assistant coaches listed in Woj's report.

Re: ***Around The League 2020 Bubble Thread***
Minimus since you are so fond of posting about Westbrook I wonder why you didn't post this?
RUSSELL WESTBROOK
PG, HOUSTON ROCKETS
Russell Westbrook hit 13-of-24 shots and two 3-pointers for 30 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block in Tuesday's 112-102 loss to the Lakers in Game 3.
Westbrook has been admirably playing through his quad injury and looked a lot better tonight than he did in Game 2, when he hit just 4-of-15 shots for 10 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. The Rockets were without Danuel House (personal) tonight and lost Robert Covington late after a nasty head collision with the elbow of Anthony Davis. If those guys are out again for Thursday's Game 4, Westbrook will have to carry a heavy load again in that one. His quad injury no longer appears to be an issue.
