I’m sure the news on Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr took the wind out of their sails. I’m sure Jokic wants another MVP, but the team may be thinking, “let’s go for it next year.” DEN has lost three of their last five.

There has been some optimism around the Denver Nuggets that they could get Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. back for the playoffs, but comments from Michael Malone on Friday suggest they need more time.

Malone indicated that neither Murray or Porter have an imminent return date.

Malone added that Murray still has some hurdles to overcome in his return from a torn ACL.

Porter is recovering from another back surgery

After tonight the Wolves have a lot of control over where they end up seeded for the playoffs. With 2 games against Dallas and 1 against Denver, the team can go a long ways towards playing themselves out of the play-in by winning the matchups. We've spent weeks watching the standings and being frustrated that a great stretch of Wolves basketball didn't result in any movement, but we are finally at a point where the team has significant control of their own fate.

Even if we go 3-3 in the next six as long as we beat Dallas twice and Denver once I see us in the 5 seed. We have proven we know how to take care of business, and with 3 sub .500 games and a finale against the slumping Bulls 49 wins and the 5th seed doesn’t seem crazy. In fact there isn’t a single game on our season that I don’t think we can win if we show up and play our style of ball.

P.S, with GSW missing Curry 4 is in play. Not necessarily super likely, but a man can dream.

Jazz in New York to play the Knicks.
Nuggets hosting Boston.

Possibility we could be tied for 6th. Boston might be the team that's hotter than us post ASB.

Tie goes to us. We could be 6th by the end of the night.

Jokic did not start second half. Might be hurt.

Update: no injuries, Denver just benched their entire starting lineup as punishment for sucking.

Nuggets fans are losing their minds. It's entertaining to read, the commentators who said they aren't nervous about the wolves have to be sweating bullets now. This is so gold, think I will put the game on listen to them.

23 point lead with 4:30 left, I am calling it. Do yourselves a favor tonight/tomorrow morning, check the nba standings. You will see that familiar play in line, but unlike last night we will be above it, and Denver can SUCK IT.

Draymond just got ejected. Warriors only down 4 but they are in trouble without Green.

We gotta be at least 10. We are just putting up massive numbers night after night. We have a legit top 10 defense to go along with a top 5 offense. Like a wise man said “we the ones Jack.”

Somebody find DHM. The Raptors without O.G and without FVV just won in Philly. Add to that GSW losing on a missed free throw from Standrew Wiggins (not even the third lead scorer for them, Standrew Wiggins = 1st team all hype,) and I am having a great night.

Steph is going to be out for a while..I think there is a decent chance Jazz might overtake Warriors.

It is destiny/karma that our pick in this upcoming draft(20th?) will end up being a better player than Kuminga in the long run.

Welcome to Sixth Street

I’d welcome playing GSW in the first round. And how much fun would a second round series be, between two swaggy young teams? Leave PHX for the WCF.

Much as I love the thinking, it’s looking like either Wolves and GSW with 4 and 5 up in the air, or Wolves at 6 vs Utah. GSW without Curry will be an easy out, with Curry, dangerous and crafty. No matter what, we gotta enjoy the ride. Also, as I mentioned before, how much more fun is this month with the play in than without it. Every game with a 2-8 west team feels make or break.

Not gonna lie, this loss was gutting, but in the misery and disappointment that followed it a thought occurred to me that I wanted to share.

My hopes were very high to start the season and they were crushed hard by the 4-9 start. I thought we were legit done, and I worried that Finch no matter how talented might be fired by new management before ever getting a chance to make his mark. Then something happened, we came back to life. We got one win, then another, and before you know it .500 was a real option. Then Covid hit and we got devastated again. We could have packed it in, and said oh well, it’s not our year, but again we climbed back up and fought our way back. Then Ant’s knee became an issue and half our team got put on the injury report every night and I thought this is what breaks us. But again, we fought back. Trade deadline, MCD injury, KAT’s arm, Dlo’s missed games, take your pick, so much adversity. But, we still have control of our destiny for the 6 seed, we still clinched the postseason one way or another, we are still 11 games over .500 and we are still light years ahead of where it looked like we would be. This adversity while tragic will strength us, and even if this is not our year, it is still a GREAT year. We need to hold our heads up because even though the best case isn’t likely to happen, a lot of good stuff still is.

Some good news to brighten our moods. GSW is now 0-2 since Curry got hurt. Both losses were to sub .500 teams and tomorrow they are in Miami on the back end of a back to back. Don’t sleep on the possibility of catching them.
