"I watched virtually every minute of Shannon's career at Illinois-you guys don't realize just what you're getting. He's a blur on offense-just outstanding on the break. Very aggressive driver and draws a lot of fouls. Was the best defender on the team-always guarded the other team's best backcourt player. Most of all, tremendous character-goes to the gym at 4:30 in the morning most days. I saw a couple of people here refer to him as 'selfish'-nothing could be further from the truth. An absolutely humble, team player. He actually declined to come in one game because his back-up was playing so well. He might have seemed selfish because he was the focus of the offense but that was his coach's decision. They didn't run any plays for him-just gave him the ball and trusted that he would make the correct decision. He's the kind of player that fans fall in love with, which is why you're going to inherit virtually the entire Illinois fan base, one of the most passionate (annoying?) fan bases of them all. I'm certainly going to watch all of your games."

How about that? I'm stoked!!!
Everybody probably remembers this but he averaged 34 ppg during the Big Ten Tournament and 31 ppg over a 6 game stretch between the Big Ten tournament the first 3 games of the NCAA tournament. He looked like an elite scorer. It kind of ended with a thud against UConn, but it was still a very impressive run.
Yes Castle shut him down he shot 2/12, although Castle had a terrible game too.
Kind of scratching my head Castle goes 4 overall after shooting 26% from 3 but Shannon lasts to 27.
Castle screams Kris Dunn to me and got drafted high because of age and size.
Castle/Dillingham going to be a debate among Spurs fans for years to come.
Lets hope Dillingham blows up and we have 2 unguardable studs in our backcourt.
