Klomp can't help you. He got off that bandwagon already.

Nevertheless, I'll be good, I promise.

Haha.

Then I got this for you. He does look a lot like a Deng-type player. Not an incredibly fluid athlete. Shot looks a little mechanical.

After watching that YT video of him in HS and seeing his test results, I'm certain he's lost athleticism since HS. I have a 27.5" vert for crying out loud. Cousins is clearly getting fatter by the year.

I understand we should go BPA, but honestly, there comes a point where you just can't continue acquiring the same type of players (poor example but look how the Lions did taking three WRs in the 1st round, only one turned out good). Enough with the unathletic PF/C hybrids.
My Kobe Bryant website I designed myself: http://personal.stthomas.edu/dnnguyen/kb24.

The guy is 6'11" in shoes and he has a 7'6" wingspan and a 9'5" standing reach. He's a pure C.

He also weighs 290 +. I wouldn't expect anyone at that weight to have much of a vertical.

Shooting drill results form the combine --

I like pretty much all of the undersized SGs -- Torrance, Warren, White or Jones.

I want to address this, too. This video (which was posted in the Media thread a while ago) is from March. Regardless of what the athletic tests say, the dude is pretty athletic.

Krap mentioned him, but how do others feel about Terrico White? He looks like the kind of player the team could use at SG and should be around that 23 pick.

He'd be solid at 23. If we weren't trading up, I'd have him in the mix there with Crawford, Seraphin and some others.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I was always disappointed every time I watched him. The athleticism and some skill is there, but he disappeared for long stretches of time and hasn't put it all together. He'd make a nice move off the bounce, then pull up for an inexplicable fadeaway with a driving lane open, or break down the defense and identify the open man, only to sail the ball into the 4th row. Or play some of that Ricky Davis type defense where he looks active and moves his feet, but get smoked off the bounce. He was also extremely passive most of the time, although that might have been somewhat a product of playing next to Chris Warren. another guard that needed the ball in his hands to be effective. He's interesting, and he's the biggest and possibly the most athletic of combo guard bottleneck (Jones/Warren/Williams/Crawford/Bradley, etc.), but other than that there isn't much to distinguish him from the rest of that group.

DX updated it's mock and ranking today.

In the rankings George jumped 17 spots to number 10. If the secret wasn't out before, it's surely out now. He seems to be Realgm's favorite player already. Babbit jumped 23 spots to number 15.

Wolves are now slated to get Cousins, Henry, Anderson. Cousins and Henry would be great. I'm not a big fan of Anderson and I think he'll be a very similar player to Ellington. For that reason, I'd rather have any of the next seven player after Anderson except Bledsoe.

A big difference between Anderson and Ellington in college is that Anderson gets to the free throw line a ton.

Henry at 16 would've seemed unheard of not too long ago; he hasn't really done anything wrong to drop, just that other names have heated up lately. I could definitely go for a young shooter like Henry. At 23, I can't pass up Varnado.

That's a strong point. Do you think that is part of his game that translates? I worry about his handles a little bit.

I don't remember, but does anyone else recall people calling Cousins fat before the combine numbers came out? It seems like people saw that 16% and started taking every picture out there of Cousins (even ones where he looks skinny) and started comparing them to pictures of Oliver Miller, Eddy Curry, and Zach Randolph.

Actually no, I don't remember reading anything beyond people saying that Cousins had average athleticism before the combine. I definitely didn't see any comparisons to Eddy Curry, etc.

edit: I'm speaking specifically about the "Cousins is fat" talk, not playing style comparisons
