is it just me or does Earl Clark look like he's growing into a PF? Last game I saw he looked kinda bulky

While there are legitimate questions about Rubio's draft eligibility this year -- he has a large buyout with his team, DKV Joventut -- I'm told he will likely declare for the draft and come to the NBA as long as he's a top-three pick.

While Holiday's game isn't flashy, he has the complete package of athleticism, basketball IQ and defensive tenacity that scouts love. He currently looks as though he could go anywhere from 4 to 10 on draft night if he declares.

Teague is the fastest riser on the board...While scouts worry that he may not be a true point guard, his stellar play is quickly winning over even his harshest critics.

Curry might be the most controversial player on this list. Some scouts don't believe he's a point guard. Others worry about his diminutive stature or his lack of explosiveness as an athlete. Still others fret about some of Curry's disappearing acts against quality teams. However, no one doubts that Curry's shooting ability, basketball IQ and clutch play -- combined with an excellent basketball pedigree -- make him a player who will likely be drafted in the lottery.

Jennings took a huge risk by bypassing college and going straight to Europe. To date, the experiment has had a mixed bag of results. On the positive side, Jennings is playing on an excellent team in a talented league. The experience has been priceless. On the flip side, Jennings hasn't exactly been lighting up the competition over there. He's been improving lately, but not to the point that it's clear he's an elite prospect.

Many scouts still believe Jennings is the best point-guard prospect in the draft based on pure talent.

Warren has quietly become one of the top freshmen in the country. Scouts have been impressed with his combination of size, athleticism and ability to score. While there is a legitimate question about what Warren's true position is, the truth is he has the size to play multiple positions in the NBA.

Flynn is the little engine that could. His toughness and fearlessness have scouts buzzing. He has hit a bit of a slump lately, but earlier in the season many scouts and a few GMs began mentioning him as a lottery pick, despite his lack of size and questionable defensive ability.

Poor Ty Lawson. He's had one of the most volatile stock ratings of any player we've ever tracked. One minute scouts think he might be a lottery pick. The next, scouts have him on the first-round bubble.

Lawson has been excellent for most of the season, but after Teague abused him in a rare Tar Heels loss, you could hear the air begin to escape from Lawson's bubble.

Mills is still basking in the rave reviews he earned this summer while playing for Australia in the Olympics. However, his numbers at St. Mary's are good, but not stellar. His high turnover rate and poor shooting percentage have dipped his stock back onto the first-round bubble.

Collison has to be struggling with the idea that for the second straight year an NBA team might draft a player who sits behind him on the depth chart at UCLA. Still, Collison continues to do his thing.

He has terrific speed and has improved as a shooter. But his smallish stature and questionable floor leadership have him stuck on the first-round bubble.

Yep, he really put a licking on those Pepperdine Waves.

Evan Turner had a nice night, he led his team to a win on the road against #24 Michigan. Turner didn't shoot all that well (4-12) and he turned the ball over too much, but he led that team to victory by creating offense for himself and his teammates (6 assists).

That's no way to talk about Rico Tucker's squad.

draftexpress has us drafting Curry, Collison and Jerome Jordan

Nbadraft has us taking Summers, Patterson and Casspi(Who?) in that order.

This is a point guard heavy year (Collison, Holiday, Teague, Lawson, Mills, Curry)

I have us taking Teague(assuming were top 10), Summers(Miami pick), Christmas(Boston pick)

I want Holiday more though, then we can have two players that put us in a good mood(Love and Holiday)

We should gamble on the Christmas pick, he is a four year player, but still takes contested shots like he is a freshman. Hopefully he can become a shooter off the bench(I don't see him starting in the NBA or being a 6th man...More like a 7th or 8th shooter off the bench)

Teague/Summers/Xmas would be a pretty good draft, but Teague/Foye is kind of a smallish backcourt. For the same reason (amongst others) I'm not sold on Holiday. I understand the logic of wanting a playmaker that can play some defense next to Foye, but Holiday is only 6'3. Evans on the other hand is 6'6 215 and has experience running PG, plus he's been way more productive. And Evans is to steals what Jarvis Varnado is to blocks, almost 3 per game in under 27 minutes per game.

Agreed. The problem with having Foye play so much off-guard is that it's harder to find a complement for him in the back court. Is it better to take someone with height and upside but still a sort of enigma like Evans? Or is it better to take a traditional point even if hes short in stature?

I can see the latter only if hes deft at defense and play-making. Is Holiday that guy?

we are 7-2 with a small backcourt atm in january

i think if we got Nj pick we could go for Derozan who has some size at the 2 and curry as well as a top 10 pick (if we lose otherwise could be gone :-?

)

I'd hope we'd have a chance at Griffin,Harden, Rubio, Evans, or Summers, after that I'd give consideration to a couple PGs - by the way, I could see Harden dropping into the 5-10 area

If Holiday and Summers and Evans were on the board when we picked and we didnt come away with Holiday, i would consider the draft a disappointment.

no but bulls went with 2 undersized pg's when they made the playoffs and the west is getting weaker(we are 10th lol)
most sg's are around 6'5 foye is 6'4 there isnt that much of a difference
plus anyways if it doesnt work we could do Foye/De-Rozan

Still, it's something consider when we draft. It's probably enough to push a player like Evans ahead of Teague.

8'1 standing reach
32 no step vet

Those are not 2guard numbers. Foye is getting it done, but he has 4-6inch standing reach different from most sg's

Even OJ Mayo has a 8'3.5 standing reach

I think a defense can be made though for Foye at SG. He doesn't seem any better defending a PG than a SG. Especially a really fast PG.

I am just arguing that he is not a Sg by size. But that has not been an issue on defense thus far. If anything, his wing defense has been very good.
