Kind of expected them to give a little more after that Kemba Walker deal.

Overpaid by about $3M per year but whatever. Glad he's a Wolf.

Even bigger overpay confirmed. If Ricky doesn't get a fair amount better, this is going to be another bad contract weighing us down. Glenn was probably afraid of attendance drops without Mr. Puppydog Eyes.

I think Rubio is about a 12 million a year player, but based on these crazy salaries recently, what do I know? If Kemba and Burks got 45 million, well...

I can dig it because his worst attribute is his scoring/shooting, but that is one of those skills that can be fixed with the right work ethic.

I don't really know. Two years from now this could look like a great deal or it could be an albatross.

Speaking mainly of the various Khantracts on the books + Pek if he can't stay healthy. Speaking generally, guys making near max contracts, even if valued correctly, are the worst contracts in the league. And then there's a good argument that Ricky is being badly overvalued with this contract. Rubio will be making 84% of Love's money next year while providing like 33% of the production.

LoL You put too much personal emotion on Rubio 's contract.

IMO, a contract can weigh a team down when it restrict ability of obtaining or keeping other players due to cap or tax restrictions. I just don't see wolves getting value in a FA and rising salary structure causing us lose current players.

This deal makes Rubio like the eighth highest paid PG next year and Rondo and Dragic are due new deals next year, too. So is Rubio a top ten PG with reasonably improved shooting? I think so.

Contracts are only going to get bigger, this won't look like so much of an overpay when the new CBA comes in. Alec Burks just got a $42 mil extension for gods sake.
