How about no.

is that a serious reply? I can't tell.

My guess: Iowa Wolves

Nine area teams share the identical name as parent club, with others pretty dang close (Swarm/Hornets, 76ers/87ers). The Iowa hockey team in Des Moines shares the name of the parent club (Iowa Wild), as does the baseball team (Iowa Cubs). Shortening to Iowa Wolves rolls off the tongue easier than Iowa Timberwolves would.

I see they're using the north star logo, but there's already a team named the Stars, so I think they'd avoid that as a name.

When it was becoming clear it would be a wolf I figured this would come up. LOL a lot of people are going to prefer the G-League logo haha.

That secondary logo with the state outline is dope! Was hoping the NBA club would've done something similar with the Minnesota outline.

Really? Something seems off with the angles on the Iowa wolf.

The letter placement isn't proportioned, but I like their wolf better than ours

It isn't the letter placement throwing me off, the Wolf just looks oddly shaped to me.

I like it. I like the different angle to the wolf and to the wordmark. As the designer said, this is very Shep-inspired and this wolf looks friendlier and younger to me than the Minnesota wolf, and that seems appropriate given this is a developmental league team.

I'm not going to say I like one better than the other. They both work for the team they were designed for.

This is too good an idea to let go of!

"Iowa Wolves?" Is it even possible to have a less imaginative idea?
