the bulls could make sense from their perspective. They want to get rid of rondo and they could trade rondo for ricky str8 up. I don't see the wolves wanting anything to do with rondo. The knicks, I don't see it. Trading Drose for Ricky makes zero sense for the knicks, especially considering drose contract expires this summer

Knicks fan here, wanted to see what you guys were saying about the rumors. Think we would trade Drose for Rubio straight up. Or a combination of say Jennings and a big like O'Quinn. Phil values Rubio. Plus, we really need a point guard that has a pulse defensively. Our offense would flow better with a PG that passes more than Rose does setting up easier looks for Melo and KP. Way too much 1 on 1 play going on right now. Rubio has a bargain contract and is only 26, at least I hope the Knicks are thinking about it. Not sure how I messed up the quotes, sorry for that!

Yeh, I think Rubio would fit really well in a lineup with KP, Melo and Lee. I don't know what NY could give in return for him though. I doubt Thibs has much interest in Drose.

Oh man, Rondo seems to burn a lot of bridges everywhere he goes. He's toxic. I don't want him.

Still need rubio, especially at the end of games. People are going to be playing hack a wiggins if we ever have a late lead.

I think if it's with knicks something like Jennings, O'Quinn, Ndour (filler) will be most likely. With OQuinn being the asset.

I know it's siht but it's the reality. And I think it's better than taking on a massive deal of a malcontent like R. Jackson.

MIN should not trade Rubio for Derrick Rose because:

a. Rubio is a better PG right now that Derrick Rose
b. Rubio is a less expensive PG than Derrick Rose
c. Rubio is more likely to play team-oriented ball, rather than chase his next contract, than Derrick Rose
d. Rubio's next two years at $14.5 mil are a good value that would be lost if traded for expiring Derrick Rose
e. All of the above

Derrick Rose sucks at basketball, and is a scumball as a person. Do not trade for him!

I'm almost to the point now where I HOPE we trade him b/c too many Wolves fans are too hard on him. I'd rather trade him, watch him play well elsewhere, and see half of Wolves fans end up looking stupid for wanting to trade him away for peanuts.

I'm willing to bet that Rose might be the last player in the league that Thibs would want to trade for.

Still rather keep Rubio and trade Lavine for a 3 and D guy at the 3 spot to be honest.

As an outsider....
I think Thibs is looking to only bring in a vet PG for 1 year then hand over the team to Dunn and backup Jones. If Thibs has decided to move forward with Dunn starting next year, clearing up that salary opens up even more cap space for the summer, not just for FA signings but for trading young talent for proven players making far more money. KG, Martin and Payne come off the books next year and I do believe if Pek medically retires they have even more money next year to use.

Regardless of Rose's disputed quality (I tend to agree with the "he's done" camp), he's clearly got a questionable character and his recent antics with the Knicks reflect extremely poorly on him as far as I'm concerned. No thanks.

A fan's opinion on Rubio is a good litmus test for their basketball knowledge.

If you think Rubio is mediocre or bad you are 99.5% likely to be an idiot.
