I posted this on TT board...little light for Jazz but if Favors doesn't make a strong (or any kind) of showing in playoffs, I think he carries less vs. expiring Ibaka to Raptors value:

To Bulls: Wiggins + Dunn + #8

To Jazz: Lopez + Bjelica

To Wolves: Butler + Favors + Jazz Filler (eat Diaw NG money or take on JJ contract or ?) + GSW 1st Owed Jazz

C: Towns | Dieng
F: Favors | Dieng
F: Butler | Bazz?
G: LaVine | Dunn
G: Rubio | Jones | Dunn

I'd hate to see Wiggins go but this is a great idea for a trade.

I'd hate to see Wiggins go but this is a great idea for a trade.

I think PG13 can be an option (vs. Butler), but wow would Wolves have all of their eggs in the 2018 offseason basket. Maxing PG13, and close to max or max offers to Favors and LaVine. The trade combination between the 3 teams is a little harder to figure out too.

We don't have the advantage of being a free agent destination like Boston, Miami, or Los Angeles. Our only path to a championship is to have 'home grown' players like other small market teams that have won championships or at least got somewhat close (OKC, Memphis). It's a long shot, sure, but that's the reality of being a small market team.

If we trade one of them, we still have two home-grown stars.

What's better, two stars and depth or three stars and no depth? I'd lean towards the first.

LIke everything it depends on the level of the depth and stars , the Heat were basically the first and the Warriors the second so both work with the right people

How'd that work out for OKC?

I think trying to get a defensive big is more of a priority. If I trade wiggs, it'll be for an upgrade there. Butler's a great player, but I dont know how much better we'd be when our bigs can't defend the paint nor anchor the defense.

I don't think it makes sense to heavily invest in 2 bigs, plus if we were to trade Wiggins we probably would need perimeter scoring.
I wouldn't trade Wiggins though, if we thought we had to decide between Wiggins and Lavine the injury made that decision for us, at least temporarily.

Agree, but I'm sure other GMs will ask for Wiggins before LaVine.

Come on dude, i even said yersterday that in a trade for Jimmy Butler i would rather keep Lavine over Wiggins. If you dont understand the part of Wiggins and Lavine is never going to work out, that is your problem.

I can't even think of a team historically whose top 3 players were 21 years old or younger, so the question is invalid.
