If I am Taylor and paying him millions, I tell him he has one more time to yell at me and I taking the first call offering jockstraps.

He is actually part of the team still.
Can't wait to find out what this trade request is really about, Butler saying you need me, you can't win without me and then beating the starters doesn't sound like a guy who wants out, sounds like a guy who wants to be paid.

On a technical sense, yea. With that said, as long as practices are still practices and there is some productivity it could wind up still being a benefit as long as he is there. At the very least the team will be practicing against someone going full boar. LOL maybe a few weeks of this will see some positive effects. Either its crazy that he's that pissed off and beating on everyone.

Butler carried a terrible Bulls team to the playoffs, it's not really that hard to believe that Butler and some backups beat this current starting team of the Timberwolves(without Butler).
I still think if you have Butler and Towns and can find another good to high level player who is willing to give effort on the defensive end, this team has a chance to go deep in the playoffs.

Its going to be crazy when we play against him the season, those games are going to have huge static. The toughness factor of our team is looking like charmin levels, one guy has apparently crushed all of that. Good God. I would say "Maybe this will light a fire" but nah, we know by now our guys don't even have torches.
Wiggis will get up for his games, just like he does Clevland.

I dont disagree but we don't have Butler. Dude is blowing up and cutting promos to get out of here. Butler is 100 percent a player that will elevate your team but he doesn't want to do that here. If I was another GM, and I felt like he would be willing to play for my team, I'd be putting together damn near any package that isn't me sending a superstar out to get him. I think teams are slipping big time by not putting together a good package for Butler, he's huge for a team (if he's happy).

You don't yell at your boss/FO "you need me" if you're really wanting out. Hope to find out what the trade request is really all about. I still think he's been indicated that the organization wants to lowball him next season.

Calinks wrote:That's a subjective take. He could also be saying that to taunt or humiliate. Like the lead singer of a band breaking up and telling his bandmates they need him and will be nothing without him after he walks. Doesn't mean I want to stay. It could mean a lot of other things and all of his other actions have stated he wants to get out. There has been zero indication that he wants to be here for an extended time.

Why would they put together a good package when an average package would be enough? At this point the trade is inevitable and the Wolves have no leverage, IMO.
