Josh Okogie needs to stop trying to play hero ball and shoot. He’s horrible

I'm with Pete here. We got a similar problem to the Gophers, we take way too many threes for our personnel. We brick three all over the place and the opposing team gets easy buckets. Rosas loves having his system in place no matter what but it can kill your team when they don't have the personnel.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

lol at these bricks from Okogie...It's like no one on this team can shoot consistently well except for KAT and Beasley.

The degree of difficulty on that shot by Malik was insane

Okogie shouldn't be taking stepback jumpers lol...when KAT is out, atleast maximize Beasley's shooting

Ricky Rubio had a good first half. Malik Beasley is keeping us in this game. Josh Okogie is a horrible shooter & should not shoot anything except layups.
Timberwolves are getting destroyed in the paint but have a chance tonight.

isn't a 2-way contract player allowed limited number of games with the team?

I must be a sucker for punishment... I just can't NOT watch this team, but it's sooooo bloody painful.

It's the team philosophy. Rosas wants everyone playing like they are sharpshooters. We take threes and we take inside shots. It's all about the math. Problem is, we have a lot of nonshooters. I believe Roasas just want to build the system and over time plug the right guys in, in the meantime though it's damaging team success IMO.
I think right now only a handful of our players seem to be great system matches.
Towns
Beasley
JMac
Reid (I heard a stat the other day, I think it said Naz has never taken a mid-range shot, that's crazy but exactly how we want to play).
A lot of our guys are not easy system fits and have struggled. I think a lot of NBA teams cater their system their personnel but we aren't doing that outside of KAT. We very strictly want to play a certain way and you just have to try your best to get with the program.

I suppose that's the excuse. He has 50 games or something this year available. Two ways were extended more time this year.
Saunders can't count past 10 fingers so, I get it.

Yeah, theres a limit. Jmac should be converted to guaranteed anyways since his the best og on the roster for what rosas wants to run.

Math changes every year. Bunch of worthless 2s guys like Okogie can't make.Calinks wrote:moonpie wrote:Who gave Okogie this much of a green light?

They haven't been strict about anything this year/
