They aren't trying to win this. It's tank and sales time. Dlo is a perfect 2-2 threes and he has 6 minutes right now.

The whole offense approach at the moment is iso attacks, there is no ball movement, sets, or plays.

The University of Minnesota Gophers basketball team has missed their last 16 shots. Both teams have scoring problems and it so annoying to watch them give up huge runs. Sheesh.

The good news...they didn't hit 73! Averaging a solid 35 or more allowed per Q is steller coaching and even better roster construction. Everyone pat yourself on the back, hand out raises all around and maybe a round at the Lexus for everyone on Ryan is well deserved.

Did anyone notice what the price was on the tag hanging around Nowell's neck out there?

This has been the norm all season. It's terrible to watch as a fan of basketball in general.

It's for when Rosas gets his James Harden level player. Until then, fake it until you make it. Maybe they will go after Kyrie once Nowell gets his game up to 20 ppg.

It's really frustrating watching a bunch of 19-21 year old guys trying to play in an offensive system with very little structure. They desperately need a system that can put them in position to make easy plays, not a system that relies on them making smart/quick decisions.

Some on Twitter have pointed this out - isn't it DLO's right quad that's hurt?

The Dallas announcers stated ---

"MIN is a team that is near the bottom in all offensive statistics, that's not just luck, it's by design. They don't have All-Star, and they are ill-constructed offensive structured team.

They [MIN] have Beasley, a guy who is getting 20 PPG, and he's averaging solid percentages for a shooter, but they're not really getting it to him. They're all just taking turns. There's no real system here to score. With or without Towns, they're just not making the right basketball plays."

*Edwards proceeds second Q hero ball, fouled by Zinger, got blocked by Zinger, three and dunk, etc*

"Three Mavs converged on Edwards, but he's not really looking for the three guys on the perimeter"

MIN offense

OFF RTG - 30th
PPG - 26th
FG% - 28th
3pt% - 28th
3pt-Made - 24th
AST - 20th

Needs Towns back but this is not a good sign for the Wolves

With 36 minutes of garbage time, I'm guessing we'll see Hernangomez get some extended minutes tonight.

How can the coaching staff watch this and think it works?

I've completely lost confidence in the idea that the coaching staff has a clue on how to make this team successful.

Nepotism... it's the only possible explanation as far as I can see

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
