Or, knowing he had a game the next day and being exhausted from playing 36 minutes of physical high paced basketball, he fell asleep. Then, his GF or close friend or family member was on Twitter (maybe not even sure they were on his account instead of theirs,) and they liked it. KAT hadn’t liked anything in days. This suggests he may not have been on in a while. I doubt he does it and then lies about like this. More likely he is telling the truth.
So now we know what we’re dealing with.

I don’t know why but my text is gone from my post. I suggested KAT went to bed knowing he had a game the next night and that someone else used his account maybe without even knowing they were signed in as him. Someone in his house. I believe him. Otherwise changing his mind two weeks in makes him look really bad.

Then why are we talking about trading him? We have only a few talented players. He's one of them. To get to the top, you should keep adding talent, not subtracting.

Because he potentially implied that he wanted out?

Another average season was always going to lead to a trade request. I'm surprised the cracks are already showing but that's just timing.

The "hacked" **** is nonsense, we all know it. Does it mean he wants out right this second? Probably not. It's probably frustration fueled. But the guy wasn't hacked.

He wasn’t hacked, but it is possible it wasn’t him. It’s possible people who might want him to leave have access to his phone or his account. It’s also possible was him.

Not buying the hacked excuse. He needs to come up with an excuse better than that. if someone in his inner circle wants him to be off the wolves just admit it. Wolves fans can handle it.

I don't buy that he was hacked, but I also don't think it was a cry for an immediate trade. More so a frustrated 20-something year old seeing a tweet he found amusing or agreeable and liked.

Regardless, I'm not worried about any potential trade requests etc. I like KAT and rate him as a player, but he's not irreplaceable and if he wants to leave at some point in the near future then good luck to him. To be fair, he's had a pretty horrid run off the court in this state, and I'm surprised he hasn't already decided a change of scenery is something to pursue.

No big deal, but I’m shutting the political comment down ahead of time. Not trying to create a controversy, just can’t let the Minnesota board turn into the General Board (or even worse…. The dreaded Current Affairs board).

I honestly think his friend liked the tweet and the cover story is shielding for the buddy. Towns is too image conscious to do something stupid like this.

Going with the good old, I was hacked excuse. I highly doubt someone hacked his account and instead of posting something, liked a single tweet. Come on KAT. Own it. You were frustrated. It happens.

In the other hand, if you really want to mess with a player or an org this is exactly what you would do if you had KATs login: just like a very specific tweet

NEWS: The Minnesota @Timberwolves acquire Taurean Prince, a 2022 Second Round Pick and cash considerations from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Ricky Rubio.

Here is how adding talent looks like when tried by the Timberwolves.

Whether you want to believe it or not...a Towns trade is inevitable. It is just matter of when, not if.

I am saying that for two years now and maybe by the time he is actually dealt you will also realize that keeping Towns for years without ever managing to build anything around him was a waste of everyones time.

And the longer they are reluctant to make this trade, the harder it will be to build a great core around Edwards. Already missed out on last years draft due to the D'Angelo Russell trade (yikes). And if they don't manage to build a great core around Edwards, the situation will be the same once again. Rat race.
You need to take uncomfortable decisions to get out of it.

Plus, if he keeps up this shooting, and remains healthy, his trade value only keeps increasing.

This seems unfair. In fact, the last trade we did was to add talent, Juancho and Culver for Patrick Beverley.

The Rubio trade wasn’t to add talent. Rubio > Prince, though Prince could be more useful because we have DLo. But the real reason we did the trade was to add additional room under the lux so we could re-sign Vanderbilt and surprisingly, be able to afford to bring McLaughlin back as well.

I think the net of the two trades added talent.

The 'like' a social media post is literally an option in NBA2K22 if you want your My Player to get traded. It's a PR move to get traded. Towns is good as gone.

Ever since that game that he threw that childish stomping tantrum on the court he's been different. I thought it was growth from being scolded by Pat but it looks like he has checked out. Instead of growing from someone telling you too grow up he feels like if he can't complain then he'd rather not play. Probably went home, complained to his girlfriend and she gave him the ole "well maybe its time for something new". Just watching the game tonight its obvious that he's just going through the motions.

If we do move KAT, I want to go full tank in 2023. Move KAT for a ton of draft picks and rookie scale guys (I see you Pels). You do what you have to to get as many lotto balls in an attempt to draft the best center prospect since Shaq. Maybe the best overall prospect since Lebron.

Our future center: Victor Wembanyama

I'm torn.

I get the appeal, I mean I've been sold this pitch...what, 3 times now? (After KG, after Love, then again after Butler?) But that's what's turning me off it too. How many times do we have to put everything on Red 21 before we realise putting all our hopes and dreams on something we cannot possibly control is foolish.

I'd also be curious if the new ownership is keen on tanking, seeing as how they're probably interested in a return on investment sooner rather than later.

Personally, I'm at a point where if we can get some young vets + a couple of picks I'd probably do that. 1 trade I was mulling was something along the lines of;

Spurs: KAT
Wolves: Murray, Poeltl, Vassell, then whatever picks to balance the value (though probably not many. Maybe 2 with another swap?)

The point being to bring in young vets (Murray is 25, Poeltl I think 26) that can help the team continue (begin?) moving upwards, but that still fit with Ant and can be around for the next 4-5 years.
