Wolves were somehow 9th in DRTG coming into game as much as a mess they have been, that will obviously take a hit

But they have immobile bigs and guards that can't stay in front of anyone

Cam Payne was destabilizing the defense without screens

The guards get broken down, and they simply can't rotate with most lineups

This team is just so poorly put together. It’s not just the Gobert/Towns fit. It’s that we don’t have any “team” players that either play hard, except for McDaniels, or make others better. Losing Vando and Bev are killers. Plus we miss Beasley’s ability to space the floor. Why do I think this is the year we miss the playoffs and then our number comes up in the lottery. Could you imagine if we gave Wembanyama or Scoot to the Jazz and still owe them three more first and a swap? While they make the playoffs?

Still time for us to gel but we look so bad, so mentally checked out already.

No effort at all, it hurts to watch.

Why couldn't we have just kept the same team + Anderson, Kessler? Horrible.

DLO is the worst PG for this team because he's so damn slow and sucks on defense.

I like how hard Kat is playing. He competes. Still not arguing calls. Well mostly. He has 4 of them and 3 were ticky. Stats don't show it but...

yea. KAT hasn't been great, he has done some stupid stuff too but I really do appreciate him not whining as much and being stable. He still needs to play better and not get 3 fouls early and such but I do think he has been playing fairly hard and competing in most of these games. Our guard play has been atrocious though and we cannot figure out a way to use KAT and Gobert effectively together.

More and more, I believe these two things are related.

How long can we carry Ant shooting the way he is? Add DLo into that as well...

Absolutely atrocious shooting from both.

Sky TV Italy gave it live and I had the chance to see an entire match and not just the highlights ... my eyes bleed .. we don't have a game plan .. we are a hodgepodge of players who don't play together. We don't have a rhythm. We don't have a soul. We don't get grit. Embarrassing defense. It will soon be said but what I saw really made me worry. The essence of being a team is missing. And it's serious.

And I add: it is not a question of who plays or how much they play. I realized that the problem is even deeper. There is no desire to do that extra comma to help. The attitude is mortifying on both sides of the field.

I felt like the Houston win had red flags everywhere.. I'll be patient and allow enough time for things to click

The issue isn't that we're losing, it's how we're losing.

Finch needs to ditch this free flowing offence, it's clear our players are too stupid to make those kinds of reads. And at this point, if you're not playing hard...you should get benched. That includes KAT and Ant. Nobody is safe.

My perspective on what you guys need to do as a non Wolves fan (I’m a Suns fan).

Sign Rubio in the off season. You desperately need someone like him that’s a true PG and I’m guessing he will have interest in a reunion. Bring in a 3pt shooting SG like Huerter type player for example. Not Huerter himself since he’s unavailable and signed for 4 more years but you get the point…Kings got him in a trade by not giving up much. Move Edwards to SF and tell him to work on his 3pt shooting and defense all summer long.

Let Rubio be the primary ball handler. Edwards can be secondary.

Rubio
3pt shooter
Edwards
Towns
Gobert

If Edwards absolutely cannot play SF then you’ll need to bring in a 3pt shooter & D SF that’s got potential to be like Anunoby or Mikal. Same concept. Hell if the Suns decide to not keep Cam Johnson and y’all have the cap space for it then that’d be a good option. Not as great defensively as Mikal or OG but far better shooter and he’s decent defensively.

Only two non 3pt shooting players in the lineup in Rubio/Gobert.

If Edwards still sucks at shooting then you will need to move him to the bench in favor of McDaniels or someone else that’s a good 3 & D player.

McDaniels and Nowell seem like the only bench players that are halfway decent on y’all roster. Bring in some better bench players.

Major problems is we cannot take care of the ball and cant defend the 3 point line

On top of that, can any of our players keep their head in the game? When was the last time you see a power play in basketball? DsLOw just made history last night. That is going to be his career defining moment. Give credit to GSW for sacrifice 1/2 a season to prop up his trade value. Can we do the same?

Jaylen Nowell had seven turnovers last night.

ESPN making it a story that Russell didn’t check in, and we played 4-on-5 for a while.

Embarrassing.
