I think Kat is gone in less than a year. Unless wolves go far in playoffs.

KAT/Conley/3 2nds could bring back a pretty nice haul...

Dejountee Murray, John Collins and a boatload of picks and pick swaps?

If we moved on from Towns, I’d want some combo of Siakim, FVV, and OG (can’t get all three obviously). Hopefully the Towns/Gobert front court clicks when Towns gets back. But if it doesn’t, I do think we’ll look into moving Towns this offseason.

Thanks god we are done.

KAT is one the block next off-season. I like the concept of cleaning house and getting the correct build around ANT/Gobert for the next 3-4 years.

You should trade Gobert too. The correct build is ANT and McDaniels, I think signing Naz (if we can) makes sense going forward.

We're getting rid of DLo and GETTING picks and somehow also got Conley? What's the catch?

Gobert has a ton of value in terms of team building as a defensive center and you can't sell him for pennies on the dollar for what you paid--that isn't improving the team.

I agree ANT and McDaniels are longer-term assets and pieces, but most timelines I prefer to look at are 1, 2 and 3 years out.

The catch is we need to re-invest emotion into the team only to be disappointed

catch is that DLo's value is probably higher than what people thought and Jazz probably wanted to get off Conley's contract for next season...Wolves also got NAW as part of the trade

What we paid is irrelevant, you extract the value you can get and you have a younger center on the timeline. This team needs to rebuild even if it is an admission of failure, you don't compound mistakes, you own them.

Very solid trade for us. Dlo has been better, but I think once Kat is back his efficiency would drop as he won't get the ball nearly as much. We all know how he is defensively and taking care of the ball(especially late game). He's a more talented scorer with the ball, but Conley is better everywhere else, and will be a great vet to continue to teach Ant good habits.

Preserves the salary slot for us to be able to add talent in trades as well, take a flier on NAW who does have potential and is still young, and get 3 2nds to help recoup some of our picks.

Ya … i think it was obvious DLo was never gonna lead. He is a more role player - aka flashy bench shooter that can be a splash on the right team.

In exchange we got a conventional PG, picks, and bench player NAW. I’ll take it.

Should play right away, they don't have to fly to meet the team anywhere.

This is a weird ass deal.

But even if contract year dlo was scorching hot shooting lately, talented scorer who can be clutch end of games. But still I'm not gonna miss his empty stats zero effort useless playmaking and no defense sorry ass. Super flawed player expecting to get paid. Glad in long term he is someone elses problem now.

Nah team building doesnt work like that. Most GMs operate on 2-5 year timelines

I was so afraid that we would re-sign DLo in the offseason. I feel actual relief.
