I'm bringing my daughter back to her mom early today as I have to give this game my full attention.

Might be a rough one tonight with this crew. However, if they really want it, they're going to have to earn it. Would the league rather see Luka vs Jokic or Ant??

If Foster backs us off of physical defense than things will be harder. If he lets us play we can make it hard on Denver.

A game 7 shouldn't be a ticky tack affair, so I'm hoping they let them play a little. I'm assuming Kat and Jaden might get a bum whistle though. Those are usually the two that get singled out.

In other words our best defenders of Joker and MPJ. If you force Kyle or Monte to play real minutes you force us to lose the series. Bum whistle equals fixed games.

Some of you are younger than or were not Wolves fans 20 years ago. For you this is historic. For those like me who watched the 03-04 Wolves, this is not new. This is the answer to that season. This is a 2nd chance that some of us never thought we would get. This state hasn’t had sports glory (in men’s sports) since 1991. I cannot stress enough how important this is to us. That said, if it is stolen by the refs and the league that would be beyond devastating. If we play a fair game and lose that is one thing. If we robbed that is another. I pray for an even whistle and an honest chance at history.

I really hope this thread doesn't devolve into another whine fest about the referees, because it has honestly made the forum pretty unreadable, from my perspective.

Most would, but if Foster and his team begin calling touch fouls on the Wolves, what do you expect? This series has been played relatively physical. It would be a massive mistake to suddenly switch it up.

I hate how people talk about this team's "youth" and "inexperience", saying we can't just go straight to the WCF/Finals.

It totally dismisses the growth and development of the last three seasons. We didn't just go from 35 wins to chasing the WCF in one year, but that's the way a lot of people talk about us. And it's funny, because that is what Indiana is about to do. So WHY NOT US?!

The best game is one where the refs are NOT the story. You shouldn’t have a thread complaining about the refs because they should not matter. If they matter then this thread or the general board thread will turn into a refs thread. I think we beat Denver in a physical game. I think we probably lose if Denver gets room to operate. Everything hinges on the whistle.

Right. And this is the problem with Scott Foster. If you’re a good ref, nobody knows your name.

It does help when injuries occur. Indiana beat a Milwaukee team without Antetokounmpo, and then New York's Anunoby only played in the first two games which the Knicks won. In general, the Eastern Conference, outside of Boston, wasn't great.

Injuries always happen.

I'm sure that will be the narrative after we win too....that Murray was not healthy, etc. People use that to discredit all of the work that went into the success of the winning franchise, usually because the winning team is from a smaller market.

Knicks were missing Robinson, Randle, and OG. Not to mention Brunson having a foot issue, Hart having an abdominal issue, and the injuries forcing guys to play too many minutes. The Pacers got a golden ticket, but Boston is mostly healthy and getting KP back. Pacers are doomed.

Whatever happens I am super proud of this team and want them to run it back. At worst if they lose, they were at least the 3rd best team this year, probably second. But i got them winning tonight!
