This is questionable at best. Ja has never played next to a superstar. His best teammates at any given time have been JJJ or Bane. Putting Ja with Ant would create a significant shift in the gravity both players experience. It would lead to many more open shots and could change the way Ja scores. While I admit the move would not be without risk, I am not willing enough to discard the reward potential to the extent of demanding picks as well as the best player in the deal. His contract is not that bad or that long.

What culture do the Spurs have? A 38-win high mark in the past six years? Not advancing past the first round in the past eight years? Not getting to the Finals in the past 11 years? Pippen would be great, but why would Memphis move him. He makes like a total of 5M the next two years.

I'm more sympathetic and forgiving on Miles. He did the crime and did the time. You might not think he did enough time/received enough punishment. Miles received the sentence that the courts deemed appropriate. I'm not a court of law and it isn't my job to dole out punishment. What good does continuing to punish Miles do? Should we eliminate him from doing the job he is best suited for? He has children to support.

Was it the apology he gave in a press conference in July 2023 roughly 3 months before he was charged again for violating the protective order against him where he was throwing pool balls at his ex's car destroying her windshield and denting the windows, as well as his current girlfriend was kicking the car, all while his kids were in the car? Why are you so sympathetic to someone this violent around women and kids?

The courts didn't deem anything. He took a plea.

Also, are you aware that it was't Ja that (allegedly) used the "laser targeting device", but a friend of his? Are you assuming Ja made him do it?
