Just watch the Spurs beating Miami. They play a much better basketball than us right now. Move the ball well, good defense. Of course having Wemby may help a bit

Other than when JMAC plays, they don't have anyone that can be attacked defensively, huge team
Castle/Harper are both huge guards

I honestly feel Boston kinda picked up Minott and Garza to help their tank and it will be crazy if they actually become regular rotation pieces on a Celtics playoff team.

A lot of NBA hopefuls just need a lot of experience to get their games up to NBA shape. Boston probably did get them for the tank, but it's honestly a fantastic opportunity and a great way for these guys to grow. A really productive season can turn their whole lives around.

I've watched ORL games and I should admit they look as undersized team despite having enormous wings in Banchero and Wagner and oversized PG s in Suggs and Black.

I just read that after 6 games, Minott is 6th in the league in individual FG% defense. He's had a sizable positive impact, and the Celtics have won all three games since he's been starting. Early days though.

Minott was always capable of putting up numbers if given minutes, that wasn't his issue. The issue always came from the mental lapses and stupid plays. I know some around here argued that it would improve with minutes and him being more comfortable, I didn't see it improve while he was down in Iowa so didn't hold out much hope of it in the big league. But maybe a season going against NBA players does help him improve, who knows.

And as for Garza, he could and did play for us. He's just a guy with distinct limitations. He'll put up numbers and someone will point to it as a failed opportunity on the Wolves' part, but he's realistically a guy that would never play consistent minutes on a serious team.

Ja Morant at it again.

The Memphis Grizzlies suspended Ja Morant for one game due to conduct detrimental to the team on Saturday.

Coach Tuomas Iisalo reportedly challenged Morant's leadership and effort following the Grizzlies' loss to the Lakers on Friday night.

Morant responded to Iisalo in a tone deemed "inappropriate." The confrontation also took place in front of the team.

Morant expressed his frustration with the Grizzlies' coaching staff following the loss.
I wouldn't trade for him no matter the price.

I feel bad for Pelicans fans they suck and don’t have their first round pick to look forward to either. Lucky Atlanta.

Yep they are doing well and it's great but its not like they have just taken this massive leap out of nowhere. What's really funny is my brother was complaining when I brought them up, saying that Finch failed to develop them. I'm like "what?" they are doing so well in part becaue our staff did a great job helping them develop. Then he said Finch let them go and failed to play them, so he's at fault there. I swear he just tries to find a way to go after Finch. For the longest he said Finch can't coach and I just look at Finch's track record and don't know how he can say that. Finch has flaws, sure, but he's damn good.
