Yeah, I had my Sunday afternoon all planned out. Does anybody know of a functioning link to that game?

It is a bad deal for Flynn, let alone rubio.

Assuming Bayless performs like Mayo/Gordon is just rube.

It is better than what the knicks are offering, but it is still not at all what we want.

Terrible trade for the Wolves. We end up with a bunch of guys who wouldn't be starters on contenders, and a very late 1st. The Wolves aren't in the position to trade for quantity. We need quality, and Rubio presents a chance at all-star quality.

It works for me, so I'm assuming only computers from Spain are allowed, which would make a lot of sense.

Me too, so in that case you can ban the guy for it not loading. I mean relax about Rubio's contract situation.

Well, I meant to say there is the potential that he would have have stats like Mayo/Gordon. Didn't mean to suggest it was definite. Rubio is by no means a sure thing either though. I think the general consensus in Portland is that eventually he will be quite a force to reckon with once he figures it all out and gets his jumper back.

But let me ask you this, what is it you are looking for? What positions are you most in need of? Portland might be able to do Rudy/Batum or it's even possible that Prizbilla could be worked in if you are in need of a center. Oden, Roy and LA aren't available though, that's for certain. The Blazers won the second highest number of games in the West (tied with Nuggets), so there's no way they start dismantling the heart of the team. They just will keep chasing Nash, Kidd, Andre, and Bibby if that is the only way...

So what do you guys need? I thought three young players in their low 20s who could definitely be starters on many teams would be a good deal for you guys. Also, I thought the fact that they are so versatile and each plays multiple positions would be useful to you. By the way, assuming there is no roster change, Martell is probably 75% likely to be the starting SF for Portland, which should mean something considering they are now a top-tier team.

I'm hoping this gets through to you and all the other leeches, but I doubt it.

The answer to your bolded question is NOTHING. The Wolves aren't looking to trade Rubio.

Ricky started the game out terribly. He actually doesn't even start for Spain cuz Calderon is pretty good.

That might be what you think, but it's doubtful that is truly what Minny's management was thinking with their picks (despite what they say). Even Kahn in his interview with ESPN on draft night was hinting about drafting them to trade one. And the thing is that there probably won't be any interest for flynn, so you will be stuck having to trade Rubio. You can say whatever you want now, but eventually reality will set in and you will be faced with the realization that you have to get some real assets for that costly #5 pick. As Dick Vitale said, a backcourt of Flynn and Rubio will get your coach fired (when you finally get one) and the saying goes that if you have two point guards you have none - just ask memphis about that.

Your using Dick Vitale as some kind of authority to back up what you say pretty much sums up how pathetic your reasoning is.

I lost you when you went to Vitale for support. And when was Kahn hinting that? Did he have a special code with his blinks that meant "ignore everything I'm saying and believe the opposite?"

Jose Calderon would probably be towards the bottom of the list of guys we'd trade for. Makes even less sense than just playing Flynn and Rubio together.

sfernald, everything you're going off of is just hope, no facts. I watched what Kahn had to say, I recall nothing that sounded like an intention to trade them.

Basically what youre doing is saying, "Lalalalalala, I'm not listening, I know more than all no matter what is actually being said by the team's management."

What you're hearing from Minnesota fans is what's coming directly from the front office and is based on fact.

When you have something that says different coming from either Rubio or Fegan, or the Wolves front office, let me know.

Otherwise you're a homer with blind hope.

Yes, sometimes a person can mean one thing when they say another based on the tone of their voice and their body language. It was in his response where he said (paraphrasing), "you mean if we took those two point guards in order to trade them," it seemed to me he was suggesting with his tone and the little smirk on his face that that was what he planned on doing, without saying it exactly. Plus it would be clearly the most RATIONAL thing to do, given the position Kahn is in.

And come on, how can you not love Vitale!?! When he is sober he is one of basketball's greatest minds! But seriously, i didn't mean to stir up trouble. I realize now you guys are still in the "infatuated" stages with Rubio, watching his Euro videos and dreaming about no-look passes to Al Jefferson. But remember, Rubio is like a new car right now and the second he gets on the court, if he doesn't look like Nash or Chris Paul, his value will start moving slowly towards that of Sergio Rodriguez and you can forget about getting three good young players and a pick for him. Just saying. But for now enjoy the dreaming. Maybe you could trade Flynn though too. He looks damn good and I wonder if Portland might be interested in him as well.

Take care anyway. I'll be watching those Rubio videos as well ;) Whatever you do, please just don't trade him to the knicks.. Let him rot in a Spanish IRS prison before letting that happen ;)

you can watch the entire bronze and gold medal games online at nbcolympics.com

Otherwise find a proxy server online from spain and load the settings into your browser and you can watch the spanish link. Watching it NBC is a lot easier and clearer though

Rev, can you text me the latest Rubio info you hear? I can't stop thinking about Rubio and how bad I want him in a Wolves uni. You're one of the only people on this site I trust with legit info

If you don't have my number anymore then let me know so I can send you a text right now.
