Watching John Jenkins right now and realizing how great of a fit he'd be here in Minny. Thanks Kahn.

yeah that's unbelievable....what a freaken headache for houston, i get that he has problems and wants to deal with them in his own way but man he really shouldn't even be on a roster and payroll until he is healthier....i think at least 50% of teams would be releasing him and moving on.

Has Royce received any $$$ from the Rockets? I sincerely hope not. I think its time for the Rockets to cut him and Royce needs to realize he'll never play a minute in an NBA game.

I've been walking down imaginary land on this point for a month now.

Let's suppose that White is only any good if he doesn't fly at all, and he can only play home games (41/season). Let's also make another huge assumption that his condition means he'd be more productive at home in Minneapolis than in Houston.

Would he have value here? Does his addition for home games actually outweigh the lack of chemistry a team may have with a guy that doesn't play on the road? Is he even worth his contract at $1.65 and $1.7 mil guaranteed the next two seasons?

To be honest, it's something I had never considered for any player before White came along.

If there's any team that could trade for him and make him play as many games possible while catering to his needs it should be a team from the New York, Boston, Philly or DC area. They're pretty close to each other, no? Like within driving distance.

I wouldn't want him on our team. Even if we only gave up a 2nd rounder to get him. I'd imagine the majority of the teammates, coaches and the rest of the staff would be very understanding of his condition but it still takes a huge effort to comfort him. Not sure I'd want to risk that.

To be worth $1.65 and $1.7 he'd have to be produce like a $3.3 and $3.4 million player. Which is certainly possible and he'd make a nice back-up 3/4.

Royce White is radioactive slime. I'd rather play Crunch as the backup 4 honestly.

What I am curious about is this. What accommodations did he get in college that the Rockets wont provide him? The way he talks it sounds like he needs a DEFCON 5 system in place. Either he or the Rockets organization seems to be really suborn and terrible at communicating. I bet McHale wants to choke this guy out.

Doesn't look like he wants to play basketball to me.

My guess is that he wants Rockets to buy him out, so he can pursue other endeavors.

remind me to start using "I bet McHale wants to choke this guy out" in the game threads. Doesn't matter the context, or the teams playing, its just more succinct and easier than trying to decipher each individual situation, ie Barea takes a three with 17 seconds on the shot clock? "I bet Mchale wants to choke this guy out."

I still blame the team. they picked him knowing he was a special circumstance. Knowing they would have to bend over backwards to make him comfortable and therefore useful and then not doing it is a dick move on their part. Royce does need to shut his trap though, its getting almost KLove'ish.
