I hope fans aren’t expecting too much from Bolmaro too early. He was very up and down. For example, his most recent four games, the last four games of the ACB playoffs, he only averaged about 2 points and 10 minutes per game.

I like him as a role player, but it’s going to take some time.

Unfortunately, we were spoiled with McDaniels, who was considered to be a project at the time.

Man, I'm such a homer that I think Bolmaro as a playmaker > Cade Cunningham as a playmaker 8-)

On a different note, maybe losing the pick saved us from further regret:
The NBA hasn't seen very many high lottery picks traded in the recent future, but this lottery could be different with several teams interested in trading for a more established player.

"There are multiple teams, I'm told: Cleveland, Minnesota, Houston, who are going to be very aggressive if they're in the top of this lottery with perhaps putting those picks in trades to bring back young veteran players or All-Star caliber players to accelerate their rebuilds," said Adrian Wojnarowski on ESPN shortly before the draft.

The draft is widely considered to be a good one, especially with five potential All-Stars in Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Jalen Suggs, Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga.

ADRIAN WOJNAROWSKI/ESPN

The majority here thought it best to keep the pick should the Wolves landed in the top three.

Why is McDaniels not included in the core?

Dumb question…had we gotten top 3, next year would’ve been unprotected to GS right?

That would be correct. I'd take that any day considering how insanely talented this draft class is supposed to be.

Adding mobley would’ve been nice.

Losing out on Cunningham and his horrible postseason play? Did other teams throw the sink at OSU having others try to beat them and stop CC?

To me, I'm thrilled to see OKC drop to the 6th overall pick. What that team did the second half of the season was unacceptable on multiple levels. I still don't understand how the league didn't come down on the Thunder for openly sitting Horford.

Before you get all bent out of shape about losing our pick this year, you have to ask yourself one question:

What has more trade value…#7 in 2021 or a 2022 Unprotected FRP?

I’m going with the latter all day long. Rosas has plenty of ammo to make something happen. After watching Ant’s interview before the lottery, I’m not so sure Rubio will even be made available barring a blockbuster.

I'll be honest, I'm concerned Rubio will become a problem next season.

He's been too vocal about being a starter to accept coming off the bench, which is likely with a hopefully healthy team next year. So does he cause issues if he's only getting 15mpg? I'd say yes, especially in a contract year.

Luckily neither had a lebron, Durant, AD type player so be done with the 7th. Rinse our hands of Wiggins

I mean you think wolves will have another season with covid problems and injury issues and suspensions along with a coaching change? Not likely 2022 will be a middling pick , not too low not too high. Probably 11-12 in what looks like a weak draft.

I wonder if Rosas will try to buy a 2nd round pick or two. Any sleepers in the later rounds?
