You’re in a small minority on that perspective. Just sayin. Expect most people to disagree with you.

With the Rosas hiring, I started looking at the 2020 draft grades. It’s an amusing trip in the big lull right now.

Last one I looked at: Anthony Edwards C-, Leandro Balmaro B+, Jaden McDaniels D+

ESPN Poll of 15 scouts, coaches and executives from across the NBA

2. Who will be the NBA's best player in five years?

Luka Doncic: 6 votes
Anthony Edwards: 3 votes
Nikola Jokic: 2 votes
Victor Wembanyama: 2 votes
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: 1 vote
Jayson Tatum: 1 vote

Coming in second was emerging Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, who was fantastic with Team USA at the FIBA World Cup despite the group's fourth-place finish and has set himself up for what could be a massive fourth season in the NBA.

"He enjoys the game," a West scout said. "He's a pure hooper, and now I like the trajectory he's showing in his maturity. I've seen things I really like from his competitiveness. He really cares about winning. If he keeps this up, I'm very excited."

When it is suggested to him that Minnesota is becoming a second home for him, Edwards quickly interjects.

“It’s really like my first home,” he says. “I be here more than anything. So it’s cool to me. I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had, so I’m good.”

If having entire cities and organizations place so many of their hopes on his back is daunting, Edwards is doing a good job of hiding it. If anything, it is emboldening him. He is tired of losing in the first round of the playoffs. He knows the mob is fickle, that the only thing that will hold their attention is turning the Wolves into a winner.

“The main thing is keep giving them a reason to look up to me,” Edwards said. “If I stop working and stop getting better and become complacent, there isn’t going to be no reason to look up to me. So I think the main thing is if I keep getting better, that gives them a reason to look up to me every time.”

Edwards needs to study this game. Booker's development as passer is incredible.

Yes, I posted similar msg on another thread. That is the separation between Ant and the upper elite players.

He is passing the eye test…literally. His vision and playmaking have taken another step forward in development (did anyone see him leading the team in assists through the first 8 games?)

Something just clicked after 3 regular season games. The middle range side steps and improved passes makes him a complete package now. He is no doubt a top 20 player.

Often times we see players has to go to another team to finally gets it. I think the team USA experiences really helped him. He got other coaches advice without leaving the team. It is one thing if Finch said you are one dimensional but when Kerr and Spoelstra also saying you need to figure out when to take over and when not to. It sinks in more.

Any idea on the extent of Ant's injury from last night?

No news yet. I think that's more likely good than bad. I'm almost sure we had him checked out today and if anything was significantly wrong it would have had to be announced.
