It'd be pretty crazy if we ended up with both Lopez twins. We'd go from no legit centers to a dynamic duo.

How do people feel comparing Robin Lopez to Jokim Noah? They seem like they have pretty similar styles to me. If we could that kind of player in the 2nd round, I'd be ecstatic.

I think Noah is more athletic and more intense.

Yeah i think Noah is all around a better player probably in every facet of the game. Noah would probably still go top 12 in this draft. Similar hair styles though.

Javale McGee has declared for the draft. Most people (including myself) probably don't know much about him since he played at Nevada. As a C prospect this guy looks more athletic then Lopez/Hibbert/even Jordan. He averaged 14/7/3(bl) in only 27 minutes as a sophomore. I think as the draft nears and players start working out he's going to be right up there in the discussion with Lopez for the first center drafted. This guy can run the floor and like Sean Williams, but has a more developed offensive game. He is nifty around the basket and is a great finisher. Currently, draft.net has him going 11th, express has him going 29th (that will change). Here's a clip.

I don't know much about Mcgee...

I did watch him one time, before I knew who he was and I just could tell he'd be an NBA prospect.

I'm willing to consider him for this year. I think he fits us better than Lopez. Lopez scores more than half of his points just by turning over his left shoulder and shooting over smaller players. That move isn't going to be there next year. McGee is quicker and more athletic than Lopez. He can beat Al down the court and clear the glass and come across from the weak side and block shots. I think he has more upside on both the offensive and defensive end. Lopez is more ready to contribute immediately as he does have about 20lbs on the thinner McGee. I think if McGee stayed in the draft he would have gotten top three consideration next year. If his stock doesn't rocket up this year like I think it will, he may be a player who it makes sense to trade down for- or if possible trade up for (using one of next year's picks, i.e. Miami or Boston + this year's second)

I think Noah is better than either Lopez. Of course I also still think that Robin is eventually going to be better than Brook. He is much more physical on both sides of the ball, which I think will translate better to the NBA style.

If we don't get B. Lopez in the top ten, who is the next best center in the draft? If the Wolves somehow picked up a pick in the 10-20 range, what center would be the best fit:

R. Lopez
Thabeet
McGee (anyone seen him enough to have a good feel for him?)
Hibbert
Jordan

Here is a good place to check for prospects that have declared for the draft.

I think that our best bet outside of Beasley and Rose is Gallinari. If we drafted Gallinari and then attempted to trade our two second rounders for a mid to late first rounder, we could take a C there. I think that would be a quality draft.

If Gallinari is gone before our pick, I think we should take Brook Lopez and keep our second rounders.

Any of those would work for me. I would definitely vote for getting a second first rounder this year and picking up one of those guys. We have 2 2nds and 2 extra firsts next year. We should be able to make something happen.

NBA scouts have had a terrible time accurately assessing European talent. Drafting Gallinari would make me very nervous.

Fred Hoiberg said they have all the tapes of all the games he has played. Don't worry they know their stuff. The only hard part is deciding how European ball translates to NBA.

That was my point. Between Milicic, Bargnani, and Tskitisvilli not too many recently highly drafted Euros have done well in the NBA.

I think its still too early to be down on Bargnani- yet, all scouts seem to agree that Gallinari has more talent than Bargnani.

I'll say it again- I think McGee is at least the 2nd best C prospect in the draft and deserves consideration with Lopez for the first c off the board.

My order as of right now:

Beasley
Rose
Mayo
Lopez
Randolph
Gallinari
McGee

I think Mayo-McGee is really close and would be happy with any of those players at #3.

Quite a few good players came from the Euros though if I am not mistaken like Ginoboli, Parker, Calderon(getting better), Nash and Nowitzki. Forgive me if I am wrong about a few of these.

Nash is Canadian and Ginobli is from Argentina I believe but you are right, there have been some good Euros.
