His name was Malik Beasley, and people wanted him banished!

Just thinking about how much better Minnesota would be with Malik Beasley over Shake Milton is painful.

I just checked Beasley's stats, he is doing well ( as support cast) in MIL. There is got to be another Malik in the NBA or in the world that can shoot the 3pt shot.

No. Just no. Getting rid of our low BBIQ/low character players has been a huge addition by subtraction.
Beasley was only a plus out there when he was on a hot streak shooting. He was a big net negative at all other times.
He wasn't as bad as Bryn Forbes, but that's not saying much.

I don't think Shake will be this bad all season, but I'd still take the current version over Beasley.
He can at least pass, dribble, and play defense.
And I'd certainly take TBJ over Beasley.

I don't think Beasley would be much better in the Milton role

Beasley is a good catch and shoot player when he's with 4 better players, very good at hunting 3s, coming off screens

he can't do anything to create for himself or others, like Monk can, like Milton has shown at times in the past

I said a while back, get Lou Williams out of retirement

Jamal Crawford is almost 44, and hasn’t played in four years, but I think he could still help us!

5 of the top 6 teams (3 from each conference) are “small” market teams. Noice!

Chuck still doesn't believe in us yet I see him time and time again talk up the Lakers. They got blown the hell out the other day, they have been shaky all season, and tonight the Thunder just thrashed their cheeks with a lightning bolt. Dude needs to give us some credit if he thinks the Lakers are so great with that kind of resume.

I don't think he watched any of those games. He is still stuck in the 80's. How can the Wolves possibly beat the Lakers and Celtics? They don't have a center that can compete with Kareem, Parish and Joe Barry Carroll.

I’m actually surprised the Wolves have only spent 10 days on top of the Western Conference in their history, considering they did win it once. I guess I forgot they didn’t spend most of the year there.

The Lakers did make the WCF last year, and then added a bunch of depth. That being said, the Lakers were a pretty average team during the regular season last year and the players they added were role players.

I hope SAS beats NOP tonight for multiple reasons. The biggest one is I don't want to play a team that loss 14 in a row coming in. Especially now Vassell is healthy and they just put up 130+ points vs Hawks.

I genuinely believe our last year's team could have beaten Memphis as well. And perhaps even the Warriors.

I must agree. I think Memphis was really a step below last post-season and we would have matched up better with where Ant was playing and with out size even though we weren't as good as we should have been. I also think the Warriors were starting to fall off enough where they were beatable but it would have been a tough series. I think the Lakers were beatable too but I would have probably given them the edge. I wouldn't be shocked if we beat them though.

This season if healthy I think we smoke the Warriors. I think we beat Memphis. I could see it being a series against the Lakers but I think we take them too.

I agree, and what drives me crazy is that we play a whole season, and a single point spelled the difference!

We faced the Lakers in the first playoff game without Gobert, McDaniels and Naz, and Ant was awful (3-for-17), and that game went to overtime. Towns was unstoppable for three quarters, but ran out of gas. One made basket from Ant would have us in, facing the disintegrating Grizzlies, and we would have likely beat Warriors as well with our size - that’s how LAL beat them. If we had won that first play in game, the Lakers would have started the playoffs facing DEN, and the off-season narrative for both our teams would have been completely different.

I didn’t want to start a new thread, so I’ll stick this here:

The Timberwolves were #27 in attendance last year, and are now up to #18. Every game has been a sell out so far, but we are behind some teams that are under 100% attendance simply because our stadium has fewer seats than teams like CHI and DET.

I did not remember how tight the top of the West was that year. We won with a 58-24 record. Sacramento was the 4th seed at 55-27.

We were in first for three days in late January, but then not again until April 8, for the final full week of the season. The Spurs were the second seed, but actually never spent a day in first. It was always us, the Lakers or Kings.

They need to take down the tarps. They aren't making every seat in the arena available yet...wonder when that happens.

We are behind DET and CHI in attendance? So, this is your excuse to get a new stadium :D? I think we still have sections closed off so we can call it a sell out. Sure sounds like ARod's plan which likely means they will spend to keep the team playing well for the sell outs :D

Yes, "For Want of a Nail". Let's hope Wiggins jam his finger on a car door will translate to the same affect for GSW :D
