I wonder what Love said back when he was asked as a rookie.

Love really did like it here. If the team was as good as he was, he would have stayed here forever. It's not like he bolted for NYC or LA. He went to Cleveland.

I find it pretty funny how bad, other teams fans with good rookies, will try to discredit Wiggins to prop up their guy.

Sixers fans with Noel, Bulls fans with Mirotic, even a couple Magic fans with Payton (but not even remotely as bad as the other two). It seems as if Wiggins is only going to win it because he got the most opportunity out of everyone to them. Give me a break.

76ers could as far to say anyone in their team is better than Wiggins. Been flooding the boards with all the Jerami Grants, JaKarr Sampsons of this world for months now and in meantime posting some advanced rubbish to discredit Wiggins for as long as this season has been going on?
And what about none of them mentioning LaVine's latest stretch? If he reaches his ceiling all of this draft class will look rubbish compaired to him.
And along with that shoutouts to Magic fans for being a decent bunch in this matter.

Wiggins could be a much better rookie. I feel that Flip has done a terrible job with him though. Too many minutes, not running plays for him, crappy teammates. He's been getting double teamed a lot lately too. Probably because we have no other players that can create other than Wiggins. He's in a tough spot. Bazz would help him imo.

They ran lots of plays for him earlier. Flip is trying to teach him how to create and score without having plays run for him now. It's a skill he needs to learn to become a star.

I'm not quite sure what that even means. I mean, how does Martin score without having plays run for him? Is it just getting offensive rebound putbacks or what? I never understood what scoring without having plays run for him means

Yes, I mean, I get if your a guard and the play breaks down sort of thing, but I mean, teams runs plays every time down in a half court set. That means guys are in certain places, and everybody has a role in each set. Like if a play is a Rubio pass to Martin on one side of the floor, Wiggins shouldn't rush over there and demand the ball right?

That would require Martin to pass the ball to him, something that Kmart doesn't do a lot of

And yet Martin is averaging the 4th-most assists on the team.

The problem here, though, is that the team is still running plays, and a lot of those plays seem to involve Wiggins standing in the corner while Martin isos.

I disagree. I don't think that's what the plays are calling for at all. I think Martin is forced to go iso because other guys aren't moving without the ball.

Yea the Wolves aren't a very good passing team outside of Rubio

Martin's getting the ball with like 18 on the shot clock. It's not like he's heaving shots to avoid a shot clock violation

If the ball is passed to Martin, and the other 4 players immediately run to the other side of the court and spot up, then it's obviously a problem with the play. It's possible that there's room for guys to cut and move off-ball in the play, but then they run the risk of messing up spacing (a huge problem with Flip's offense this year) and otherwise disrupting the play. I don't fault anyone, especially a rookie, for being hesitant to do that.
