IM not too worry with the bench play.

I dont think Thibs will do the hockey line changes that Smitch did, we'll likely see some minutes with either Kat or Wiggs on the floor with the bench unit.

That 20 games number was pulled out of someone's ass.

Everyone thinks we'll trade Ricky. That's why Dunn was the GMs' pick for ROY. Doesn't mean we'll actually trade him. Didn't Woj report on draft night that Ricky wouldn't be on the team to start the season?

He's nothing like Manu, c'mon. Maybe Stuckey?

i didn't really mean Manu in terms of style at all but in terms of role. Sure, Stuckey...

Yeah I think atleast initially, Thibs needs atleast 2 of Towns,Wiggins,Lavine,Shabazz inside to court. That all 2nd bench unit can be decent defensively but will probably suffer scoring droughts
Trust the PRosas!

So I was at the game. The scoreboard make such a significant difference to how much you can enjoy the target center. I was very skeptical about just how much, but that thing is amazing. Makes sitting in the back seats of the lower level much better. Which is nice since you can usually get those pretty cheap right before the game. Left at the end of the 3rd, so I missed where we played like crap. Was Memphis missing anyone other than Parsons?

Pretty impressive when you consider that Towns himself says Gasol is his hardest match up easily.

Watching the replay now. VC, Tony Allen, and Brandon Wright. Is there any word on what kind of allergic reaction Wiggins had that made him miss the game?

Type II navicular bone stress fracture. It's very hard to come back after that one, especially if you're over 30. It ended Yao Ming's career for example. Gasol's shooting 38% from the field in the preseason and doesn't look the same.

Can't help but think the grizzlies sat their rotation guys to give the pups a false sense of security for the season opener.

Yeah, gasol didn't look right.

He just looked like he didnt have any strength at all. It would suck if injuries claimed another big man.

Was thinking the same thing. Marc isn't the same as before and who know when and if he comes back to normal form. I guess it makes Wolves playoff quest easier.

I didn't see Tony Allen in the box score. I was hoping he'd play to give Zach an early test.

That's pretty horrible - anybody that watched the game have any insight as to why he was so bad? And 0 for 5 for Dunn - so far this preseason he really hasn't gotten anything going at all.

Tyus played with the third stringers - Murray, Payne, Hill, Butler - in garbage time, which was the fourth quarter. Tyus couldn't hit any shots but that whole unit sucked on offense and defense.

He was by far our best player on the court. The dudes he was playing with were total scrubs (Dunn, Payne, Lucas, Murray, Butler). And I'm a Tyus hater.

That team is in pretty big trouble if he can't get back to anywhere close to his old play.

Woj is obviously a mouthpiece for the agents. It is no surprise his rise correlates directly with the rise in the power that agents have taken in the NBA. I would bet Doogie gets a lot of his scoops from agents as well, but he doesn't use that power like Woj does.

17 of 17 FT is impressive. From googling around it looks like Dirk Nowitzki has the NBA record, 24 consecutive in 1 game (a post season game). Dominique Wilkins has the regular season record at 23 consecutive in one game. Bill Cartwright seems to be the Center with the most consecutive with 19 in one game (who would've thought with that ugly form).

Marc Gasol was definitely out of it yesterday, but I hope KAT gets to the FT line more this year. He can definitely take advantage with easy points.
