I was just thinking about our last couple of drafts and wondering what our team could be. I think here's our best case senario for the last 2 years and this year's draft: Keep Roy instead of Foye and draft Noah instead of brewer. Also, we get the #1 or 2 pick this year.

PG: Rose
SG: Roy
SF: Granger
PF: Jefferson
C: Noah

P.S. I'm not raggin' on the wolves for not drafting this way but its just kind of fun to look and see what "could have been." And you gotta admit this would have been one heck of a starting 5 for our future.

I'd take Roy/Granger over McCants/Gay.

Meh, at the time, the McCants pick wasn't so bad. It wasn't a great pick but it certainly wasn't a bad one. I have no qualms about it.

I wanted Roy and Gay over Foye. I have more of a problem with that than the McCants pick.

Here's a list of who has declared thus far.

Speights, Randolph, Bundinger and Steele have just declared.

Steele could be an option with our later 2nd rounder.

I'm wondering if Speights might be in the Wolves top 7-

Rose
Beasley
Lopez
Mayo
Gallinari
Randolph
==> Speights?
then, Bayless...Gordon...Jordan?

Who do you guys like the most if you stay at 3? I would imagine it's between Mayo and Lopez.

Just in case he was too lazy to look, the consensus pick was Mayo.

Bill Walker declared too, but did not hire an agent. Definitely a potential second round pick for us if we go front court with the first.

how about Mayo in the 1st and Walker in the late 1st via trading our two 2nds, then sign Diop

Diop
Jefferson
Walker
Mayo
Foye

Yes!

If a center (Hibbert, R. Lopez, Thabeet, etc.) slipped in the 20's, what do you think it would take (and what would you give) in order to move up to get him?

Would you give both 08 seconds and Boston's 09? Is that enough to move up? Too much?

So you'd rather give up McCants than any of the stockpile of picks we have?

I think McCants for a pick in the 20s is selling low.

I'd do that but I'm not a great judge of "fair value". I'd trade McCants, too (if we draft Mayo or Rose) but I would think we could get a pick in the teens for him. We've got a couple expirings in Walker and Buckner that could be put in play, also.
