"one of my biggest frustrations with" surely means there are a few posts on how the dlo trade will wreck your LaMelo hopes. Right? I never noticed them.

Trading for Dlo obviously did not preclude the option to draft LaMello either, given the Edwards choice. Edwards and Culver both displaced Dlo as starting Point in preseason and on opening day this year. Could have been LeMello all the same. Blame Rosas choice if you want.

“One of” means there are more. It does not mean, “erase your brain of all other reasons he listed.” As YOU CHOSE to write.

Grow up, or find a kid’s forum that thrives on kiddies trolling kiddies.

Come on man. Where do you think my post comes from asking for more than just after the fact LaMello claims? That's what I'm doing. I'm asking if this is just another after the fact thought now that LaMello had a decent 10-12 game start being passed off as one of your "biggest frustrations" with the Dlo trade. I never said you didn't have others. I said I never knew on of your biggest frustrations with the Dlo choice was how it would ruin your LaMello hopes here. That might have changed my views on your tunneled vision takes at the time that were loaded with cherry picked stats and jaded thoughts on Dlos worst moments without looking at anything positive. As far as I know this just wasn't the case before or after the Dlo trade. At least I never noticed while you spent plenty of our time reading your posts about how Dlo was just a terrible player on a terrible contract. Hey maybe you had some "don't trade for Dlo because it won't allow us to draft LaMello" posts and I just missed them. I'm giving you the chance to say you actually did and rub my nose in not remembering it.

So why should I ask? Maybe it was your passive aggressive shot at any of us posting here with a claim about people not sticking by their prior stances. This one:

shrink wrote:First, kudos to you both for having takes and not hiding from them later when things don’t go the right way, like most internet posters’ norm,

Isn't taking credit for takes you never had on the same level? Again, maybe I missed those posts about one of your biggest frustrations with the thought of Dlo here.

Kudos to those that are not passive aggressive. The reality is trading for Dlo was not what stopped Rosas from drafting him. I suppose you don't want to discuss that though. Even when I agree it would have been horrible for Rosas to do that to Dlo. It would have been the second time a team drafted a Ball after having him. But as I already said, it's clear with the Edwards pick and use of him already that Rosas doesn't much care. He simply didn't choose LaMello.

You obviously don’t read what I write, as evidenced by the “we could have drafted LaMelo 1st anyway” which I had just addressed.

But do you even read what YOU write?

You did not write, “I’m asking another question” as you dishonestly claim. You wrote, “erase from your brain all other reasons!”

Ironically, you quote me giving credit to Krapinsky and mplsfonz23 for not hiding from what they write, like many internet trolls. You can’t even stand behind what you wrote an hour ago!

Kid, you have a long, long “enemies list” and you continually try to challenge or misquote anything said by those on your list. Again, save us all the time. I am not treating others like this - your enemy list is so long because you specifically are a petty child, and post that way towards me and many other people here. Either live by your words, grow up, or don’t bother us with these dishonest and childish posts. Who has the time?

I didn't want Edwards or lamelo. If there's questions about both your shooting and your defense... Hard stop. I don't care what position you play, not interested. I was hoping through some combination of trade downs and trade-ups, we could walk away with halliburton and okongwu.

Please. You can grow up first. I'll follow your lead.

I explained my post and why I would have loved to have had your thoughts on Dlo causing an issue to draft LaMellow in the next draft instead of all the falsified and cherry picked stats and seemingly unobjectivity you endlessly posted trying to convince us all how terrible he was for Wolves. Me saying erase from my brain of all your past posts about Dlo was as accurate a way I can put of what I would like to do. Because showing you actually had more objectivity and reasoning behind your Dlo hate back then would go a long way towards me forgetting how childish and unobjective you seemed back then. Sadly this is becoming a refresher course. I'll walk awy now before you take it furher again.

Yes me to, on the trade down part (even trade out options). I remember a few wanting Okongwu for sure. I wasn't pumped about him because of the shooting. I also didn't want any part of players that haven't shown they can shoot at pro levels.

It's alarming how little he gets to the FT line

That should have been his NBA ready skill, and really his only chance at being somewhat efficient

He's like our Cam Reddish but worse on defense. He's going to take time but he's a special talent. He has to get the AAU out of his game. We are still working on that with Cam.

I am truly starting to think Edwards should spend a few weeks in the G-League to boost his confidence and help him get some rhythm. He has been a significant negative impact on the court and has been getting worse instead of better. The Wolves can't afford to keep playing him 20+ minutes a night while having 3-14 shooting nights and zeros across the rest of his box score.

14 shots in 23 minutes. With 0 assists.

A couple of weeks ago, he took 40 shots over two games... with only 1 assist. This right after Saunders praised him for his great passing. Glad to see he was listening.

[Note: 13 games in... and his passing has probably been the most impressive thing I've seen from him. When he actually passes. It's simply not close to enough right now. It's not going well.]

How do you spend 22 minutes on any basketball court in the world without picking up a single assist, rebound, steal or block?
Think about how improbable that is.

To make it even worse...you throw up 75% bricks...

I honestly think you could get more productivity from an undrafted college senior...

I mean even I could get no assists, rebounds, steals or blocks in an NBA game.

I mean obviously you would get about zero touches on offense but in 22 minutes of action you have to be in the right position to grab a board, block a shot or pick up a bad pass at least once, no?

I wouldn't mind seeing an empty stat sheet if you see him focusing on something specific he's working on. We saw Okogie working on specific things over the course of multiple games at a time the past two seasons. Wasn't trying to do everything. His first season was just randomness and empty minutes of effort. But that changed for him in second season. He's still not trying to do everything and that can be good. One day nearing his prime he may put it all together.

Personally I would like it if we could tell the coaches were asking Edwards to finish with a hand on the rim a good 5 to 6 times a game instead of the one time we are seeing now. He could be really dangerous if he become comfortable with that. When he commits it doesn't seem like an issue doing so at all. It's all the decisions to stop midway that ruins things. He's found he can kick out and get praise for that so I'm seeing more of that now even maybe when he should go all the way. He's getting enough touches to have that many dunk drives mixed in. I think first he's got to be a real threat to go all the way to the rim a lot more often. Get yourself on the highlight real multiple times a game. Other teams come to expect that which they've seen. Threatoning with that would then make it easier for other choices. This is the NBA, most players will just start handing him a lane. A few won't. Treat them both the same and just go through until they all open up.

I noticed last night. Fastbreak, i forgot who the PG was, but him and culver were running but instead, he went to the 3 point line and Culver was running to the rim. Why the **** would you not run to the rim? You know you cant shoot! Afraid youre not gonna get a foul call? So what? Eventually, they will call it. This kid has no idea how to run a fast break

This is what sucks about no combine and no tourney last year.....one, we were told he grew to 6'6...that's a lie, two we were told about this insane wingspan and explosiveness....that hasn't shown up at all yet...we were fed propaganda and bought in.
He should be destroying rims and people every game but goes soft/finesse.

I have seen enough, I am willing to move on.

He might turn into a nice player, but he will never be what we needed him to be.

I think he probably tries too hard right now to draw fouls. He's not getting the whistles and contorting like he does gets him off-balance to where the shot is more difficult.
