However, leaving a roster spot open actually makes it easier to address an injury situation during the season probably because you can bring someone in without having to waive anyone else.

Probably true, but I think the only spots in jeopardy of becoming depleted are the 4 and 5 spot... so to me it is a matter of if they think they can do better than what they can get now as to if they hold it open.

Russell getting 2/37 from Lakers. Good luck with that .
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Bane, Haliburton, and now Ball have gotten their rookie maxes. When is Edwards?

I'm not worried about it at all, but it's a foregone conclusion that we will give Ant his maximum allowable extension so we might as well get it done.

My guess is they are still negotiating with McDaniels and want to announce them together.

Ant is busy living large in Turks and Caicos, and mustn’t be disturbed.

Thanks. If I had his finances I would be there also.

Figured Ant would be announced already since the contract is what it is while McDaniels is a little more complicated but announcing them together is a good idea.

Realistically, I think Minnesota went a better route with their Mid-Level Exception.

I bet Brunson and Hart being on the Knicks influenced his decision. It's a real nice story them being reunited.

Wouldn't be difficult to trade for him down the road. Toronto likes its Canadians, for example...

But I think they were simply doing Horton, Grady and Petersen a favor by not signing him.

I'm not worried about it at all, but it's a foregone conclusion that we will give Ant his maximum allowable extension so we might as well get it done.

The question is not when he signs the max but when do we start debate if he is worth a max, how his game hasn't got better, and how many picks will we get back on his trade.

Don't forget judging his decision to play for Team USA

I’m really curious who the training camp deals end up being. Connelly knocked them out of the park last season with the headliners being Dozier, Elleby, and Mudiay. Wonder if he gets similar caliber signings into Iowa’s system this season.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.
