Re: 2023 Free Agency
Off topic, but Deadspin is reporting that Taurean Prince found out he was unemployed thanks to a Woj tweet rather than hearing it from the front office first. Really a jerk move by the Wolves front office, or at the very least, by whatever clandestine source is phoning up Woj to tell him the news first rather than letting TP hear it from his employer. If we don't want to be perceived as a rinky-dink organization we ought to avoid looking like this.

Good luck TP.

There is nothing new here. They are just citing the original tweet with no additional information (or even a quote from Prince or his agent.) In fact most of this article isn’t even about TP or the Wolves.
FWIW - Prince unfollowed all of the Wolves social media accounts the night before. The folks on the T&T board seem to believe he was notified then and that this was some sort of joke or a misunderstood tweet.

This. Don't follow stupid narrative.
P.S. CP3 TWICE found out that he was traded, because his son told him. It is just business.

Re: 2023 Free Agency
One thing is for sure: Cap space isn’t cool anymore. The dream of an All-Star free-agent signing is impossible if none of them ever become free agents in the first place. As a result, teams will need to think a lot more strategically about what max-type cap room even means anymore, and what options are truly viable for franchises in that position. Many of them got 50 cents on their cap room dollar this year, and with so few genuine stars hitting free agency, I’m not sure the ROI is going to improve much in coming seasons.

With Garza signing a two-way, that means we still have a slot open for veteran minimum correct?

No … this not to be taken literally. Nobody - I mean nobody believes CP3 was traded and told by his son with no knowledge of it.

Some of these players who double as player activists lie non-stop about how poorly they are treated because there is an underlying agenda. I don't think it works but who knows if someone, anyone believes this actually happened... and it seems they did.

Re: 2023 Free Agency
Yeah, it’s hard for me to believe that we as casual internet fans hear that the Wolves are trying to make a trade of Prince for Morris or Wright in the final hours, but Prince and his agent have no idea about these things. It’s not like Prince’s offer was so good, or so bad, that this was decided months ago, and the Wolves were just keeping their decision from him. I’m sure he and his agent were kept abreast of how trade negotiations were going, and that if they couldn’t complete a trade, they may not pick up their option.
Hard to feel sorry for him since he landed on the Lakers, but it sounds like he wanted to stick around with the team?

I think the tweet people reference was clearly a joke... makes it all the more asinine.

He knew about it. He was being passive aggressive with his social media leading up to it.
Doogie knew and if he knew, Prince's agent likely told him.
The front office likely told his agent he was getting cut or traded.
We probably held out trying to trade him until the last hour of the deadline.
Seeing Prince sign for 3 million less on the open market validated our decision to cut him.

Re: 2023 Free Agency
Interesting that with Brown, Milton addition and Reid/NAW extensions we have following lineups:
Starting: Gobert(31yo)-Towns(27yo)-MCD(23yo)-Edwards(22yo)-Conley(35yo)
Bench: Reid(24yo)-Anderson(30yo)-Brown(24yo)-Milton(27yo)-NAW(25yo)
3rd unit: Garza(24yo)-Miller(19yo)-Minott(20yo)-Moore(22yo)/Clarke(21yo)-McLaughlin(27yo)
I like age/experince distribution between lineups, while part of it is a natural growth/development of Reid, MCD, Edwards, I hope to see smooth transition between generations.

Beasley's deal with the Bucks is worth $2.7 million, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Even for people that hate the Gobert deal that makes the Gobert deal look a lot better.

It's as many of us said at the time, the players leaving were not the issue, but rather the number of picks involved -- removed the team's flexibility going forward.

I was correct about the player we would miss from that deal. Walker Kessler. Self back pat.

Are any of the new 260Million deals actually 260Million deals already?

I'm kinda shocked by how low it is. He's worth more than that even if he doesn't play a lick of defense.
